Perhaps its because of the lack of spammers, but the general crowd on here definitely does seem older than on Gaia. I've found this to be true on other sites as well, such as Ernya and Roliana. Also, because Mene rewards posters for being literate, I think this also discourages the younger crowd (which seems more prone to spamming/illiteracy). That's not to say that those younger people always spam or use bad grammar or anything, but for those that do, the way the gold is rewarded here certainly makes them think twice about it. ...did that even make sense? It was kind of rambly. |

I'm 17, but I joined Mene when I was 15 or so. I think I joined Gaia when I was 11 .___. but I wasn't really that annoying of a kid. Not like the kind they have over there nowadays, at least. Sheesh!
I think users here might be older than those on Gaia, on average. I notice that users here seem more mature, at least in the forums. I know there are several parents and married couples posting around here on Mene, but I know some of those on Gaia, too. I don't really know. That it just my best guess. |
I joined gaia when I was 17. And there were some annoying people.. But it has gotten a bit worse there. I'm with you Zack, here on menewsha, there doesn't seem to be much jerks. :)

Usuke: Yeah, it's different here most of the time. I have definitely met some jerks and pompous-type people on here, and I have no interest in seeing them around. I usually don't. But those sort are pretty much a minority on Mene c:

I'm 21, turning 22 in June. I feel like this site actually has a much more mature/older crowd of people. I don't tend to find a lot of users in their young teens. I'm sure they're out there but I usually meet a lot of people who are 18+.

I joined Mene back when I was 23, I am now 26... hehe I joined Gaia back in 2003... so when I was 19. Still a proud member of gaia, though I live by the ideology that cluttered avi's don't look as nice as a pretty, and simple one... haha this goes for all the games I play including imvu and wow.

And I am a Gaian..just not actively as I used to be...I joined Gaia back in 05...then go banned for stupid reasons I still don't understand to this day....but another two accounts there but I hardly go on them...and the monthlies there no longer intrigue me...neither do the cash shop items...to me its all clutter now. :\ |
