I vote that Mene is WAAAY better than Gaia...
I was on Gaia for almost 6 years, and had cumulated ALOT of stuff over the years. I was a rich bee-yatch. Mainly because I spent IRL money on it. THEEEN I was hacked. Stuff ALLLLL gone. No more prettieness. So, I started playing with my mene more. I have come to realize that even though I am a very poor Menewshan, it looks better than my Gaia ever could.

LOL, I forgot I even had a Menewsha account since 07. Just really looged back in today. I'm a Gaia oldbie, and creator of a popular Gaia tool called Dolphin Mania. Due to IRL issues, I needed an escape from the crap Gaia has become.

I don't know about Menewsha, as I have only been logged into it for only a couple minutes, but I can see that they don't seem to push sales in peoples face, it's a smaller community, and it more... organized?

Maybe I'll get back more when I have a chance to stroll around and check things out.

Hope you find a good place to get away from the bad things of Gaia here. It's a little slower sometimes because people don't spam left, right, and center, but there are so many threads, and all of them with actual conversations. I'm sure it won't be hard to find a good place ^^

I'm a bit biased on the subject, since I'm new here and still use & love Gaia.
I think Gaia has, unfortunately, declined since it's beginning, and some changes are needed if they'd like to to last much, much longer. It's difficult to find a place to "settle" in there, but if you dig deep enough there are some nice areas still left that I enjoy.
I'm still trying to get the hang of things here, but once I figure more out, I'll check back with my opinion. :)

I like Menewsha so much better. Gaia has trolls, spammers, and straight up rude people. I havnt' been around Menewsha much to know of any rude peope just yet, but everyone that I have come into contact with have been very mature and a pleasure to talk to. Plus the boards are very well monitored. I say Menewsha FTW.

Ha, I have yet to even do anything on Mene but play a couple games. I was looking for a site to fiddle around on and when I saw Menewsha I realized I made an account on here a couple years ago and never used it.

But I have to say, I already prefer Mene because it's smaller. Small communities always seem better to me. Friendlier, closer, easier to get familiar with, lotsa shit.

Gaia is alright to read some of the dumb forums but other avi sites are better they have a nice cool feel to them :3

Skittles, if I really wanted to read conversation for entertainment, Gaia is where I would go to do it. =P

I still have a gaia and I still like it but I'm starting 2 lose interest in it. I like in menewsha b-cuz of the art and ppl here open minded and share their opinions about my art and there's more ppl in my age group 2. Also Here ppl are very helpful.

Except for the money greedy part of Gaia, I think they are about equal. The emphasis on the cash shop on Gaia has been a disappointment. All they really have to show for it is a game that doesn't run very well and is laggy.
I gave up on the Easter event because it was near crashing my computer.

I used to play gaia too, and I quit a few months ago. My friends kept telling me I was so obsessed but really gaia ripped me off. I don't HATE gaia but I vote menewsha is better even if the gold value is lower. :3 menewsha!!!

personally, I think its about a draw in the battle between menewsha and gaia. Mene is better in that its more active, and the gold actually holds a little bit more weight (as compared to gaia where its like, oh, how many tens of ks am I going to earn today?) and there's alot less spammed up forums. But on the other hand, gaia does have guilds, which make it much easier to do things with specific people, and gaia has a dream avatar site set up. (actually, I found this site because of an ad on tektek, lol) But you do have to admit, gaia has some courage for advertising for their competition. but I do like the games on here better, so I'm going to say menewsha (the games here have a high score list)

I love Mene. I quit Gaia. Its so boring and all the people are just... weird!

Myself, Gaia is too big and out of control in some parts, I kind of feel that if I start a topic won't be buried within minutes and I'll be able to find some new friends.

I like that Gaia is substantially more active, especially in the forums. It's what I'm used to. But I like Menewsha more, the events are more fun and I prefer the items, hair and avatars here. I've been on Gaia for longer, and I still kinda like it even though I BARELY log on any more, but I prefer menewsha. It's more my speed nowadays.

EVERY website is better than Gaia.

Both sites have their positive and negative things. Personally I like Gaia more than Menewsha, though just a bit more than menewsha. I've been a member of Gaia since '06, and Menewsha since '09. Though since Gaia has been getting worse and worse, and wanting more and more money, I've come to like menewsha better. I also like the fact that the community here is smaller and nicer than that of Gaia. But I still have a lot of good friends on Gaia, and I RP in guilds there. And there is also zOMG to play.

I personally like this site a lot more.
There's a more open minded and kind community here, imo. (:

Although I'm starting to go on there less and less as the cash shop grows.

I can't really choose between the two; I really like both. Gaia and Menewsha are the only avatar sites that I'm on with any regularity, and they're basically both my favorites.

I like the avatars better on Gaia, and there is a larger assortment of items. I think people tend to be friendlier and more polite on Menewsha, so I prefer the forums on here to the ones on Gaia.

No one has been a jerk to me on here or attempted a fantastically weak hack, so I do prefer this site.

I like the gaia back when it was go-gaia better than any other website, but now its trash >.> I'm still getting used to menewsha but I think it's alright though it needs a bit more characters (variety in people, like a few mean people isn't bad here and there)

Menewsha. The dolls don't move or walk around a landscape, but that way you can focus more on discussions rather than items and gold. Plus Gaia just seems...empty, somehow. In a community value way.
