Stylin' Steampunk Avatar Contest RESULTS!
 

I just have to say: WOW. This contest was SO hard to judge! There were so many great avatars that I really hard a hard time picking the winners. I decided to award quite a few honorable mentions, for those avatars that I really liked, but weren't in my top three favorites.

In third place (1,000g), with a really wonderful entry and a lovely interpretation of her reference photo, we have ... PhoenixIllusion! I liked the poem you added along with your entry and I really think the simplicity of this entry is what I liked most about it. It's a strong avatar that makes a statement and stands out from the rest of the group. Congrats!

In second place (3,000g), with a really gorgeous avatar, is Silver Magi! I think the combination of white, light and dark pinks and the frilly look of the feather ruff and skirt make this avatar look strikingly similar to the reference photo. I also like the contrast of the pinks against the bright blue background -- it makes the avatar itself really pop. Nice job! Your avatars consistently impress me.

And in first place (5,000g), with an avatar that stood out to me right away, just screaming for me to pick it, is ... *drumroll*

Wow. Just. WOW. When going through all of the entries, this one jumped out at me right away. The colors, the texture, the flow -- it's just amazing all around! XD Irises typically have a velvety texture, and all of the layers and items you've combined here has given the avatar that same velvety look. The only part I don't like is the red eye. I think going eyeless might have been better, but still, I can't fault you for that. Everything else about this avatar is just fabulous. *gushes* Anyways, fantastic work on this one, really!
