I can assure you it wasn't forgotten about! :)

It does take a bit of thought to judge stuff.
I'd feel TERRIBLE if judges didn't take their time to seriously think about the entries.

some of those entries were very pretty, it's hard for them to choose. would be hard for me

Choosing from the entries takes a lot of time and consideration on the part of the staff- this on top of the million other things they have to take care of! Sometimes it takes a few weeks is all, the judges are extremely busy, I'm sure. :)
