you can get 500g a day now, you just cant get 1000 a day.

Well you did earn 50 just by making this topic... it's not like posting is so difficult that you can't get 1000g a day anyway, you just need to write out and articulate what you want to say.

There's a lot of easy ways to help max your gold without spamming. You can get rid of contractions (cannot instead of can't), write out numbers (one thousand instead of 1000), and eliminate abbreviations (gold instead of g). You can also look at a thesaurus and see if there's other words that are longer that mean the same thing you want to say. So instead of, "I'm mad," you could say, "I am absolutely infuriated!"

The new cap on gold in the games doesn't bother me one bit. I find that I can chat up a couple hundred gold in no time at all. Plus I didn't really rely on the games all that much any ways.

I am a little mad 'cause 250g is not a lot. I'm used to getting 500g. I think it's a bit unfair for them to just spring this on us all of a sudden. If I'd gotten a little warning, than I probably wouldn't be as mad.

They did say it is an experiment, so I assume it won't be on for too long.

Just so i can make people understand, this site started out as a community forum!
With little games, I joined a year or 2 after they started and were going through experimenting with the beta version (what the site is now!) and the games they had then were, in my opinion, weren't to flash and sometimes didn't work.
Please be fortunate you have games to play on here, but also understand the bases on which this site has come from.

meh, don't care. If I play enough games to make 50 gold a day I'm doing good.

I kind of wish they would not have changed it, but I think if they made it to where you could make up to thirty gold per post and upped the cap in the games to three hundred gold instead. I think I would be happy with that.

I'm not gonna bore you guys with economics at this point but let it suffice to say that it will have good effects on the economy of menewsha.

Honestly, I'm not. I usually don't depend on getting my gold from the games. I play them occasionally for fun and like that we have them.

I guess it will not be too hard to make gold by typing. My only problem is I tend to be a lurker. This change might encourage me too write more.

I remember the old days. There was a long period when there were no games after some AncientSophisticatedSeagullhats exploited the old fishing game. You'll survive. (Not being sarcastic or mean...just blunt) It may be hard and a royal pain because it might take longer to get items. But we've survived just fine with nothing before. Everyone kicks and stomps when a change happens. Just give it time. Plus, they've increased gold earned per post. :) It's also a test. So earn what you can from games, chat, and most importantly be patient. I'm sure they'll give the community an update on whether the test was successful or not.

The new cap doesn't bother me at all. I rarely play the games and prefer posting to earn my gold. Like Snowflower I remember when we didn't have any games to play because of someone exploiting glitches in the old games. It made things a little tougher, but then again I didn't mind that we didn't have games. It really helped to make the community more close knit which I like. Plus the staff has given us something in return for lowering the cap. We now make more gold when we post, which was a really nice surprised in my opinion.

I'm a bit upset about the new cap on games. I like to play them when I'm waiting for my friends to get online to roleplay and now it only takes a couple plays of Tetras to hit the cap. It's rather disappointing. Fortunately they did raise the gold amount on posting, but that still kinda screws me up when I'm waiting. Now I have to search through discussion threads to find something that interests me enough to talk about. I really don't like rambling on about things, I prefer my discussions to have a little more meaning than just "I want gold so I'm going to post like CRAZY."

I suppose that's life for you though... So yay... meaningless talking...

why do they give us so many fun games and then act like it's a bad thing to play them?

I'm not super upset about the decreasing of the gold amount. It's really not a big deal to me, since I'm not on as much anymore.

I don't play the games anyway, so I'm suuuuuuper glad they increased the amount of gold we make by posting, it means I can actually afford to buy things a little more often!!! :)

Since the gold cap on the games, I've been playing them more. Just because it's a lesser amount of gold to reach than 500. I don't know, but I feel like I achieve more. :)

This thread's poll is missing the all important third 'meh' option. I've also been here long enough to remember the 'old' game's and their much smaller cap. Oh, noez - we has to save up for a few more days to get something?!? Waaahz!

I don't get how people think how it's so hard to get gold? Yeah, the expensive stuff is SUPPOSED to be harder to get, that's why it's expensive? Gold racks up a lot faster than one would expect, so a few more days added to the quest acquisition time isn't going to kill anyone.

I actually respect the staff more for doing something that they KNEW was going to cause whining. We've been given so much ('specially lately) but nobody can please everybody all of the time.
