Do you use the report button?

And if so, what do you usually find yourself reporting?

I find myself quite often reporting misplaced threads. :gonk:
Other than that, spamming.
I rarely if ever have to report trolling or harassment. Which is kindof nice, most of what I have to report on sites like Gaia is trolling or sexually explicit stuff. xD

Vexatious~Venom 10-14-2010 04:50 PM

I use it a few times. As you say, usually misplaced threads, that's about the only thing I find to report. But yeah, anything to give a little helping hand I'm all for.

I rarely have to report spam, and I don't think I've had to report trolling or flaming before, which is pretty sweet <3

Codette 10-14-2010 05:10 PM

misplaced threads, some spam. Thats pretty much it.

Knerd 10-14-2010 06:09 PM

I don't need to, because I HAVE THE POWERRRRR!!!!

iiToxicRainbow 10-14-2010 06:16 PM

Lol Nerd! XD
Funnily enough,i havent used it for anything,i think XD

Mystic 10-14-2010 06:48 PM

I use it for misplaced threads and sometimes spam. I'm just glad there really is not any other reasons to use it here for the most part.

PWEEP 10-14-2010 08:24 PM

All the time. I took up reporting threads in the roleplaying forum that had over PG-13 rules, and after a couple hours there was a mini announcement in yellow in the forum telling everyone to check their rules :XD So I stopped after that, considering I must be annoying the mods with it

I use it quite often, I think. Mainly misplaced threads, sometimes reporting in the roleplaying forum about those who don't put quote tags on other peoples' profiles.

Kitten151 10-15-2010 12:18 AM

i havent reported anything yet due to me just joining this yesterday

Rikali 10-15-2010 01:29 AM

I don't think I've used it for anything except reporting an accidental double post, like when my internet went buggy and posted something twice.

angel4party 10-15-2010 02:22 AM

I don't and haven't used the report button. ^.^

Game Master 10-17-2010 02:11 AM

I've used it a couple times for people who created threads in the Charity forum, asking for donations.

That's our favourite game show host! Keeping Mene's charity forum safe xD

I've noticed that as of late I've reported a lot more misplaced threads.

As I remember the report function being very useful on the sites where I was a staff member I will occasionally use it here. I normally do so if it is quite obvious spam or misplaced material. I am not entirely certain where the flaming boundary is here, so do not report that.

jellysundae 10-18-2010 10:53 PM

I'll say that every report that we've had recently where the reportee thought flaming was going on was actually false. But then some people interpret the rules a whole lot differently to what their actually meaning is. People having a bit of a mild go at each other isn't flaming.

Rylynne 10-19-2010 02:32 AM

Back when there was no function that merged accidental double posts for you, I used to report those all the time. xDD;; But now that said function exists, I haven't reported anything in a long time. ^^;;

I don't find a lot of misplaced or spammy threads, actually. o_o;; I think my timezone, being the dead zone as it is, doesn't really have a lot of those. xDD;; Unless I'm just blind and oblivious though. >.<;;

SaetonChapelle 10-20-2010 05:29 PM

I have seen it, but I never use it. The moderators seem on top of things, and everyone else seems to do the work for me. xD I figure they have some idea what's going on and can handle it when they can.

I was huge into it on Gaia, but that's only because of how many misplaced threads or verbal assaults there were there, it sometimes became overwhelming. Here, with it being so small, even if something is misplaced it usually doesn't take up much room. Oo As for harassment, yes if I see it I report it immediately, however there is so little that I have never had to. xD

MeowMitts 11-12-2010 02:55 AM

Never used it before ;9

Keyori 11-12-2010 02:26 PM

I use it way more than I should, probably. xD

Banshee 11-12-2010 03:30 PM

I do report posts, but very scarcely. Like if I spot a thread that seems vulgar. I go and check it out. If it is somehow vulgar, I report. If not, I go back to what I was doing.

Sayomi 11-12-2010 03:49 PM

I've only ever reported spamming, like extremely Obvious spamming. I haven't noticed any misplaced threads or flaming, or other reportable things yet.

Sho-Shonojo 11-12-2010 06:55 PM

I've only ever reported a misplaced thread. That was only twice I think and maybe one of my own threads as well.

NekoSari 11-12-2010 07:08 PM

I see it all the time, but haven't ever reported anything. Mostly because I don't go around looking for things to report heh

Rainbows 11-13-2010 04:44 AM

I don't encounter that many reportable things. o_o I think I usually only report spammy newbie threads (if they've already made multiple threads and had users saying, 'hey, mene has different rules'). I may have reported some spam posts before... usually during events when people get a little crazy. >>"

LoveAria 11-13-2010 07:44 PM

I've only had to use the report button once before, but i dont remember what it was for. I think it was because they were being rude and offending people left and right. I'd never use it because it was funny or anything like that, I'd only use it if someone wasnt following the rules or something like that. Because people who dont follow the rules and stuff just ruin the experience for everyone else. I want to enjoy the time i spend on here and not be bothered by people who are going to offend me or use cuss words or judge people. Because we dont really know everyone on here personally (unless you actually do) and we dont have the right to judge them.

so yeah. i think that the report button is good to have around just incase i guess:))

The Whitewolf Shaman 11-15-2010 03:36 PM

I've reported on occasion for various things.
