Sorry for taking so long to get the results to everyone. As some people who have contacted me or read various threads where people asked about the results know, I've been sick a good portion of January (and still am not entirely well right now). I knew that the results would be difficult to get to, as there were a lot of entries that made me laugh or smile. There were a lot of entries that could have won for several categories, which meant I had to re-read and re-look at them and shift some entries around a lot like musical chairs.

Again, I'd like to say "thank you" to everyone who took the time to enter. It was a genuine pleasure to see the entries. :)

★ Grand Prize
I decided that this prize would go to Iroase Delschatten: for the combination of her two entries. She did a really sweet picture of Vicktoria giving Mr. Mayor a kiss and then a funnier picture of Lance giving Abel a kiss on the cheek (and then the aftermath).

Iro's entries even inspired another contestant, Seito, to submit an entry based on the Abel/Lance pictures. So if Iro wasn't deserving of the Grand Prize, I don't know who was. :)

★ Top Written Entry
For this category, I had to give it to Saravi Boo: for her story on Menewsha's Troublemaking Trio wherein two of them try to raid the Mayor's holiday party. She showed a good understanding of the three characters' personalities and history between each other and a good understanding of how they spoke. (There were many entries I enjoyed, but they got character relationships wrong and I felt they didn't grasp the personalities as well as they could have.)

The entry is a fun read - so if you're in the mood for such, I suggest you read it and leave Saravi Boo a comment on her profile. :) Congratulations!


★ Top Digital-Media Art
This one had to go to wishie: for her hilarious picture of Afrodonkey giving Vicktoria a smooch. I think their expressions are hilarious. Wouldn't you make that face if Afrodonkey gave you a kiss?

★ Top Real-Media Art
It might surprise some people that a line-art piece won for best real-media. But just check out the kiss in this entry. Two, full-body characters sharing a really romantic kiss. How could I not choose it? neller: even wrote a poem to go with it.

★ Nyaw! Cutest Entry
It should come as no surprise that after the "Grand Prize", this was the most difficult category to judge! A lot of people decided to go after this prize - and there were a lot of really cute entries to choose from! In the end, I chose Kaema:'s super cute entry of Yumeh and Cessy. The style of the artwork only emphasized the cuteness!

★ Top Sequential Pictures Entry
This one had to go to Shishunki: for their entry of a kiss Abel gave to Nalin.... to appease the fangirls. Nalin's puzzled expression and Abel's bwar face kill me every time!

★ Best Use of Holiday Season Theme
I had to choose Suona:'s story about a Secret Santa gift exchange. A lot of entries that qualified for the "best use of holiday theme" had interesting ways of approaching it, but I felt Suona's just had that something more that made it. It's also well-written with a quite good grasp of the characters involved.
