exactly. which is why I didn't donate a lot this month.

I mean, yeah, other people buy them from other users, but those users paid money for 'em, so the site is still getting money. but if they're being released without anyone PAYING for them, then it basically defeats the purpose of them being CONTRIBUTION ITEMS. Like sure, I understand the cows being a special thing, that I'm fine with, since that was the ONLY way to get them.

Nephila 03-30-2011 12:27 AM

Yeah it did. That's why they stopped doing it after they noticed. I don't think he's selling them any-more.

Precarious Fool 03-30-2011 12:29 AM

That still could explain things. XD

Nephila 03-30-2011 12:31 AM

yeah but like I said the damage is already done for this month. I'm sure next month will be better.

The items were sold by the auctioneer as a way of ushering in the marketplace and encouraging it's use. Here are the exact sale amounts from the CI's he sold:

Take me to your leader:

2201
1999
1205
1600

Dark Crystal Armor:

2250
2102
2000
1600

Apart from the one 1,205, the rest sold for well over the average.

Well, it's not like the Auctioneer sold a ton of the CIs. It was technically four sets. I don't see how that could hurt things. Maybe I'm overlooking something.

I'm the same. I've only donated once, but I have a summer job lined up, so hopefully I'll be able to donate this upcoming summer.
