I'm a little confused is to where these cows come from. Because I thought when I bought the take me to your leader CI's. I would get these cows. So where are these cows coming from. I don't have enough gold to get them in the market.

They are an addition to the set. The Auctioner selling them. If you ask me I think they should have put the cows in the CI's. It sort of pisses me off. The only people who can get the damn cow are the rich menewshans, and its not fair t all. what if someone who can't make a lot of gold because they have a life or isn't good at saving wants one? they can't get a cow because they don't have enough gold.

Awww man I'm upset now!! I really thought it was available some how to everyone. They look so cute. But,I'm shocked I do not know many rich menewshians here. And I don't have awesome items to sell to get a lot of gold. This disappoints me :'(

Don't be upset, you may be able to trade stuff for the cows later. I want try and do that later when the cow frenzy is over. My mom is trying to explain to me that the cows are just like any other item. She says that the cows are no different then the 5k dresses in the hops. She also says that the cows may be a limited addition item so they are selling them in the auction place. :/

You're always going to have items that not everyone can afford. (ie: '07 Valentines items XD) I find it perfectly fine even though I probably will never afford to get one. XD I think that it's a good way to jump start use of the market place as well.

If everything was affordable then the economy would be worse than it is. Hopefully the marketplace will change the economy. That's a whole other topic though.

There are always going to be impossible items,like someone else said. Hopefully the frenzy will die down. In the mean time,I'm gonna try and get more kimonos!

The auctioneer will probably sell the cows until they deflate and become worthless. That's why I sold mine, cause' I don't want them deflating on me.

People seem to be obsessed with this new toy (the market place) so people are bidding extremely high on super small items... I'm hoping that the amounts go down a bit...:(

I know the amounts are very high on those cows. Like all the others items I want are high :gonk: blehs

:< Duuude. What's with the lack of donations right now? There should be cows in the marketplace, but as the cows are directly related to the number of contribution items sold...there aren't any. Do you guys not like the CI's or what?

For a second there I thought I might have overpaid for my how now...but seeing as he might be one of the last how now's...I'm thinking I got him at a steal.

People could donate how I do it, where I donate $xxx amount in the beginning of the month, straight away. Usually around the time the CI item is shiny and new. (Which for me, is also around paycheck time.)
Only if I've been selling an item exceptionally well will I donate more in the middle (or even the end) of the month to restock, otherwise I'm usually done.


I don't have access to the donation logs though, so this is purely speculation. P:

The largest amount of donations is always on the day an item comes out, as the month progresses the donations drop right off and just trickle in with an occasional small spike.

The issue here is that this month's donations are very bad. At the moment they are set to be the second worst month ever, and we know why. If I tell you, I think you'll be shocked...

Every time Inso adds a new feature to the site, donations drop. EVERY SINGLE TIME

If anyone can explain that craziness to me, PLEASE do.

We have people crying out for new features, complaining that the lack of these things makes the site hard to use. So these things get added....and we suffer financially, just what is all that about?

How inclined do you think Inso is to add ANYTHING to this site when he knows that doing it will just lose him even more money than he's losing already?

Thats a very curious phenomenon there. My initial conclusion being that possibly people are enjoying/using this feature and are distracted from donating maybe? How this is possible i dont know though...

But I love my Inso and he damn well knows it!

Maybe you guys could add a little extra incentive for donating money to the site. You know, besides just the items. Maybe if you donate 5 bucks you get both items, and 2 weeks of double gold from posting or something.

Or maybe if you donate a certain amount of money, you get a raffle ticket for a chance to get some 07 item from some poor nub's banned account.

I don't know why its doing this. :( I try and donate every month but I don't have that much money so its not always an option. I had no idea this would happen.

It really is weird, isn't it? This isn't me trying to bully/shame people into donating more or whatever, it's simple plain bafflement at why new features stop people donating.

I'd understand it if people get leary because of no updates and stopped donating, that makes sense, "oh, the site's not doing anything, it's not worth my while" etc. But I can't comprehend the donation behaviour on here at all :?

That is a really strange phenomenon. I have no clue why things would work out that way. I would think that new features being add would make people want to donate because the site is improving and moving forward instead of sitting at a stand still. After all things can't be added or upgraded if the people running the site don't have the money to help cover the costs.

I donate when I have the extra money, but for a long while it hasn't been an option. This was the first month I have donated in almost a year.
