Anybody else notice that the high scores on the games got reset?

I know for sure they were on snake...not sure about the others.

I checked Snake, Tetris, and AOTF, and they were reset as well.

I'm thinking it's because some games glitch, and give a false score. So they reset the high scores to fix the glitched scores. :yes:

I notice it too. All the high scores from the games were deleted. It's kind of odd.

I'm wondering if this is something they did on purpose or if they'll fix it. I about keeled over backwards when I got third place in snake, lol.

The game high score boards are occasionally cleared so new people can make new records. It gets a bit stale if the same people are always the top scorers doesn't it? Take the chance to hurry up and get to the top! :D

Yep yep. Cleared every three months I think? Maybe not exactly though...

But anyways, at least now it gives us a chance to aim for them!

Really? I don't remember them ever doing this and I've been here since the late summer of '09. ScarletRobin, or whatever, had the high score in snake for a year and a half.

Yes, periodically the game stats are cleared, both to make way for new (active) users to earn the high score and also because having a very long list of scores slows down the site. I don't know why, but I do know that when they're cleared, the site runs a lot smoother for me (so I at least know it's true! haha).

I never noticed it, but iam never even close to getting high scores on any of those games.

Nice to know. :) That poor chick who had the 7,000+ high score on snake, though, is going to freak when she sees she lost it, I think. Lol.

That's why when you make first in a game, you should screen shot your victory. xD It lasts longer. ;)

So that's how I got a spot on the 15 highest scores for... Uh... Holy crackers I forgot which game.

It was the sardine game. How ironic that I had to play it again to figure the name out. *facepalm*

I'm a huge fan of wiping the scores . . . I noticed that the game speed between screens (like after you lose and you go to the score / gold gained page) was a LOT faster.

Yay for speeding up the site. :) I noticed a huge difference already.

Actually, wiping the scores turned out to be a great thing for me even though my highest scores on Mad Gallop all disappeared. I hadn't played in a while and stopped trying to beat my sis's champion score, but today I was motivated again and ended up doing better than I'd ever done before! XD; (Even though she prolly haaaates me now.)

Oh noooooooooooo! :gonk: okay I can't even play the games because I get on here with mY phone :lol: but that sucks about the reset :shock:

Haha. Yeah. For a tiny little while I get to be on the snake leaderboards, too. ^_^

I remember screenshotting my 1st place on Tetris the last time the board got wiped...it was funny because I was in the middle of a game when it got wiped, and I got 1st place with a score of only 2000+ something on Tetris. :lol: Of course, after I found out what was happening I quickly did another round so I got to at least 26k before screenshotting the scores again. :XD

This time, I was too late in sniping the 1st place before someone came along and got over 600k in scores *coughIrocough*, which I'd never be able to get. 3rd was the best I could manage on the rankings. :P (of course, once the ones who can get over millions and millions in scores come along, my flimsy 200k+ something score would poof off into the netherlands and never be seen again...:lol:)

How do people get such high scores?! My fingers go numb after level 13 comes around. Most days I can't even manage past level 11. :gonk:

I start at level 10 and aim for as many Tetris I could get as it gives you 12k for them, increasing a little as level progresses. Never actually checked how much it stops at though. The last time the few million took me one hour to get without rest. Won't be trying that again soon. :lol:

I know Sushi Mix (sp?) always becomes the champion in Tetris, at least of the last three wipes that I remember...

And wow, that's just insane. I start at level 7 and work my way up with Tetrises...about three or four Tetrises gets me the 26k points needed for the 50g, and sometimes if I feel the flow is going well I continue and try to beat my personal record. (295k I think) Of course, most times I never manage to get too far before the blocks drop too fast for me to keep up anymore...:XD
