Too new to really determine how gold earning is, but I can say that making it too easy causes problems. Too much gold = too much inflation. Then you have yourself a big mess :3

<_< Kinda wish there were cheaper starter items though. Ah well.

I like Mene the way it is. Yeah it's tricky to get gold but that just stops spammers who want to look the best with no effort. And I just spent the 1000g to change my name, and just before an event too. XD Maybe in a few day's I'll be back up there ready for event items.

It's really just about saving up as I read in the thread "How to earn gold for newbies"

Just think and type more when going to reply to someone,
Ask them multiple questions, or tell them something funny,
Or quote a song and ask them if they know of it,
In the few hours that I've been here I know a bit about the site and how it works,
I come from gaia, and Unlike gaia it's really all about the post length and saving up,

But all in the end you finally have an avatar that you worked extremely hard for,
And that's when you know you did your best,
