We'd like to thank everyone for entering our avatar contest this time around! :D We had some fabulous entries, and had a hard time choosing our favorites.

That said, we did manage to do some judging, so without further ado, we have our winners!

Summer Sundries Contest Winners

There were so many great entries in my contest this time around! I had to award a few extra prizes here and there to make sure all my favorite outfits won a little something. :D

And without further ado, my winners are... *drumroll*

There were a lot of great, bright outfits that reminded me of summer, and to start, I'll award some Honorable Mentions (500g) that were particularly nice. :D

Both of these avatars had very nice layering and color combinations! :D

Adding the brown was an interesting and unexpected touch on Dolly's, and I also like the shoe combo you came up with. Normally, I hate those platform heels, but you totally rocked them! :D

As for Kultura's avatar, hers was one of my absolute favorites when it came to bright, summery colors. :D You did some great layering and have a nice balance in your colors.

I would also like to give an honorable mention to Rozalyne for this lovely avatar! :D I'm loving those colors together, and in general, she looks like she's out on a pleasant summer walk.

So there were also a few themed avatars that caught my eye, and I'd also like to recognize them with honorable mentions.

Wynna looks as if he just stepped off the beach and onto the boardwalk! I'm digging the use of the kite and the fluffy clouds on this one. It just seems old-fashioned and summery ~ I'm a fan.

I'm digging this look by neller as well. She didn't go overboard with this avatar, and I think it's really cute. Just a girl out on a summer stroll, looking for a good spot to listen to some music and fly her kite. :D

ARGHHHH!! NOT THE SUN!!! IT BURNSSSSS!!! :lol: I just laughed when I saw this avatar and knew I'd have to give some kind of prize for it. This would fall under the "Most Humorous" category, if I were to make categories. XP Nice BD!

And now, moving on to our main categories...

In Third Place (1,000g), we had a tie. It was hard to choose between these two, since they were somewhat similar, though remarkably different. So I decided to give both of them a third-place prize.

I've seen Springy in a few different outfits incorporating the sunflower CI, and I think this is one of my favorites. It's really adorable, and I especially like how she added the green leaf wings to make herself really look like a sunflower. While yes, there were a few random items seemingly thrown on, I couldn't help but love looking at this avatar.

M i r o always makes great avatars for my contests, and this time was no different. This was my favorite outfit in the Brights category, and I think she did a great job with her layering and color choices. I find this avatar to be pretty unique.

Both of these avatars kind of have the same shape, which is interesting to note as well...

In Second Place (3,000g), we have an avatar that was a bit outside of the box. Though it wasn't what I expected initially, as I looked at it more and more, I realized it was AWESOME.

WOW. This is so cool Saravi! I saw the scuba diver almost immediately, and I love that she's raiding the loot and putting on the crown and jewelry. :lol: The use of the belts, steampunk mask, "flippers" for her feet and the goggles really sold this for me. Awesome job!!


And in First Place (5,000g), was an avatar that just made me think of happy, summer days.

When I saw Vickyll3's avatar, I just smiled. I love it! :D It's cute, summery, bright and pretty much what I wanted to see in this contest. You kept the layering to a minimum in the outfit, which is nice, as there's a lot going on elsewhere in the scene. I think this outfit just appeals to me in general, and you didn't overdo it, which I also appreciate. Excellent work!
