SO new concern - how will this fit into the changed vday plans? Check out the newest announcement by Jelly guys! It's now a recruitment drive, not a vday event. There isn't enough time for wishie, jelly, and CK to do any items, etc.

this is going to be interesting... maybe we can launch a mini user ran event in its place to help boost peoples interest from the recruitment drive thingy.. like bring in new people and there is our little user event to keep them busy maybe?

That's an idea but I know the user ran events that are usually run (like bbr's summer camp) takes a whole year to plan. We've only been planning for a month really.

I mean - we could break everything into separate threads - an art contest, and avatar contest, a game thread, etc and use our prizes for those prizes...that could work. Instead of one big thread - have a few seperate threads?

Well I took over for BBR for the circus summer event back in the day and I had to do it on the fly. Its a lot of work but this wouldnt be a full scale event persay more of a mini one. A couple of stickies like an avi contest in one the art in another and hangman or quote that and i spy in one. And break the prizes down between the few threads. Maybe make some siggy freebie pics or banners for people.. or a simple cute vday themed image made for it for people to grab and use where they want... it could be a start maybe.

I feel like with your expertise in planning an event we could do something like that! We already have everything planned - just for one big thread...it would be easy to break it into multiple threads (and make it not so chaotic!)

have you seen the retired circus forum? It would be an example of mine and of course BBR's planning skills. she layed the groundwork and I tweeked it and executed it. It had a very good reception as well we handed out tons of prizes and had a lot of participation.

Aw, I can understand why they've decided to do things this way. I agree with y'all, we can break it down into separate threads and still do all the things we wanted to do. I think we should all have something in our titles about RAK, maybe something in our first post about how we all worked together. Maybe hummy's thread can still have the full title; Random Acts of Kindness ALL WE NEED IS LOVE ?

I'm going to have some extra prizes, I've been buying any Vday stuff the moment it pops up on the Marketplace :ninja: So if some of y'all want some past vday EIs I'll make a list of the extras I'm going to have!

you could randomly pop into other threads and drop the prize on someone... like see who is participating and bam appreciation prize or something.

Aprils Fools isn't really celebrated with a big event - it's small (same with st. patrick's day)...they maybe have a couple items released limited edition. Although I wasn't on last april fools so I'm not sure how they did it last year - but the ones before that were small. The next big event would be phoenix jubilee or Summer boardwalk or whatever they are doing in the summer (it changes)
