As a new member, I'm too afraid to disrupt the order by posting a lot. But I'm from avi-life, so I'm pretty used to a slow going forum. It's hard for making money though, especially after having earned the 250 gold from games haha

well you don't earn alot a day unless you are like me and post a ton... just remember the longer you post the more gold you get... just don't spam..

I think a lot of people are afraid to post where there's conversation already going on. I find the best way to make friends is to just jump into a conversation. Most of the time on Mene people do not mind if you jump in and post.

That's definitely the case for me, Mystic.
I'm pretty painfully shy normally and even though I'm here to talk to people I find joining a conversation that's already active difficult or, I fear, invasive despite knowing that these are made in public threads and those in the conversation will most likely welcome me. My threads have only seen action, I feel, because they were offering something beyond conversation and I'm somewhat ashamed to admit it, but because I felt like I didn't know anyone on the site I purposefully timed when I would post so that more people would be actively online at the time so they could have more exposure to the material I was posting. With the addition to making an advertisement out of my signature I have managed a slow but still fairly decent pace.

I do want to help feed traffic to other threads, even though I'm guilty about not posting to only but a few. If part of the problem is simply due to exposure, would setting up link/affiliate lists in certain threads help? I set aside a place for links section in my art shop to refer people to different places I'm either involved with, or connected to socially, but if we're talking about threads that aren't "permanent" I'm not sure how to help, really.
