Like we did last summer? Bbr was the one that did stories around the Campfire last year. I think it was also a story contest? I can't remember. But that's always a nice contest/game to have.

I actually didn't read Shakespeare at all, just know that he wrote MacBeth, Romeo and Juliet .... little things. XD
I remember Mid Summer Night have something to do with... fairies?
Refresh me what the story was about?

It's one of those troubled love stories Shakespeare is so famous for.

There is a wedding between the Lord of Athens and the Queen of the Amazons, and the daughter of the Lord of Athens doesn't want to marry the man who wants to marry her, but DOES love another man who she plans on eloping with. She tells her friend about this (this friend was jilted by the guy who wants to marry the first girl) and as soon as the love birds fly the coop she tells the man who wants to marry the girl who ran off with the other 'dude' to gain favor with him but instead of being happy about it (which... why would he?) he stalks off into the forest to find his run-away love interest.

...and then you meet the king and queen of the fairies (Oberon and Titania respectively) who are are disagreeing about the fate of an Indian prince that was given to Titania by a queen of India. Oberon sends his jester/henchman out to get a flower which will cause someone to fall in love with the first person they see after waking and this flower is obtained but Puck mistakes the target Oberon sent him out for with the man who is eloping with the run-away lady-ma'am and who should he wake up to see but her friend that told the scorned man where to find them (IE: the forest).

....It gets more complicated, but that's more than enough to get the idea. xD

Hmmm I wonder if we could come up with a pun on the theme a midsummer's night.

After being forced to re-read Shakespeare in every English class, I want to vomit.
I don't care for any of his works! Especially the cheap cheesy movies over it. T . T;

But I can like Roman/Greek stuff any day.

Holy whalecows! This place kind of exploded with posts while I was sick.

I haven't read all of the posts and got a little lost and confused, but I can see that the theme direction is changing which is good. I like the Pirate idea. We could always do something like Pirates vs. Ninjas.

There has already been a user-ran event with this theme.

Now, a pirate versus ninja's theme sounds like fun... and there could be a treasure hunt... and other things... -ponders-

Yes, there would be lots of things that could be done with that kind of theme.

If we did that theme I know i could host one or two games with just that alone.

Yeah, I can think of a lot of things as well.

Though, idk how you'd set it up.

I suppose keeping in mind that we're talking about an event that will be 3 months away the appearance of pirates won't be stepping on the heels of the Valentine's event storyline.

Me being me, I'd be more interested in the myths idea, but I think there's a lot more area to move around and develop in with the pirates/ninjas thing we have going here. :D

There is a lot in the myths idea, but really that is something to be left up to the staff I think.

Pirates is actually a great theme because pirates have been turning up time after time in Menewsha's storyline.

As long as there's nothing done like the bombing grid, I think you guys are fine.

But if capture the flag doesn't work then...
You can do Team Tasks? Like we used to do for Celes Paradi Event.

People sign up for certain teams, and each member has to do a task from the list given.
Like, create a the team flags; drawing the hide-out bases; designing the teams outfits <- stuff like that.

The team with the most tasks done gets prizes.

To cut down on overloading user-signups is by creating a date deadline for applying to teams.
Then there should be a deadline to when the tasks must be completed. And only one player can do one task.

That'll let other members be able to do tasks and not just the same people over and over again.
