I keep them. I tend to separate them based on item. Pants and skirts go in one drawer, shirts and coats in another. Much easirt to find stuff that way. I usually sell any extras I get in the marketplace, though.

I'm a definite common hoarder as well!
There's no telling when you might need to reuse something to fill that one particularly tricky spot on an avi, plus they're all beautifully pixelled and they all layer so nicely... why get rid of them?

All of mine used to get sold in the sellback store, but now I keep them. They are all organized by type of item like: head, top, bottom, shoes, etc. I don't have a ton of them because I used to sell so many, but I've got my share.

How do you buy your commons? Do you buy them based on color like LONGCAT, do you buy them as you need them for an avatar? Do you quest for a specific store and accomplish that? Do you just buy whatever?

It's my way of limiting what I buy otherwise it would be everything! [lol] I also like the challenge of working with all whites and still making different avis. (also trying to use multiple colors intimidates me, I'm not that good making colored avis work)

I never sell commons in the Exchange or the Marketplace since we've got the "Sell Back Store." I usually don't have a lot of common items because I like to make a new outfit by selling previous outfit items. Normally, the gold goes to Contribution Items that I really want... which is why I hardly ever have any commons at all.

But when I buy commons, it's not based on color. And I don't try to obtain every common item that Menewsha has, like Seiki and the others. I just search for common items when I made a new outfit with the DAC. And most, if not all, the common items that I purchase for new outfits are just accenting colors and aren't in the same color gradient.

I also don't use a Quest thread anymore... I do everything 100% myself, unless I enter contests to win something when events happen. And I've definitely never been a hoarder XD

I'm the type to buy the commons I like, usually during events when you can get them for half price...I don't but I probably should think of avatar outfits I could create with the commons I buy...I used to only buy one colour for each item type, I figured now that I need that variety so I don't really do that anymore and have same style items in different colours..but not many.

I tend to buy commons on the fly solely to complete avies. I have such a weird jumble of commons because of that, but it works. I don't usually have much extra event currency anymore because I'm not as active as I once was, so I don't get as many commons from events as I have in the past. BUT if I do have extra event currency I like to buy the white, black, red, and purple colors of the items I like. Then I usually buy the rest of the colors of the items I like if I happen to have that much extra currency.

Mostly I just buy on the fly with pure gold in the stores in order to finish up a themed avi, though. I don't actually quest commons ever.

Yes, that does seem to be the case, buying commons with an idea of an outfit in mind seems to be the way to do it, I just buy what items I like and work around them.

I've only been here for less than a year. I buy what reminds me of characters in my book. Currently I'm dressing as Requiem. Each character has a color theme and a clothing theme so I'm quite picky as to what is in my inventory right now.

This has happened to me too, because of my buy what I like approach rather than having an avatar outfit in mind when buying.
