Hey guys! I'm always on the look out for people selling commons whether it's in their MP store or in the exchange and I never find anyone. That made me start wondering - what do you do with your commons?

Menewshan's are really big on creating gorgeous avatars so my first assumption was that everyone stores their commons for their avatar creations! After Seito's thread asking how big your inventory was, I noticed that a lot of people have mostly CI's and EI's.

So I ask you guys - what do you do with your commons?

Do you sell them at the sellback store? Do you keep them? Do you simply not buy them?

Tell me!

How do you buy your commons? Do you buy them based on color like LONGCAT, do you buy them as you need them for an avatar? Do you quest for a specific store and accomplish that? Do you just buy whatever?

I keep all my items. Because I use them all the time, and am always changing my avatar. Commons are so underrated.

I totally agree with you Bearzy! This avatar excluded, normally all my avatars are 98% commons with 1 or 2 rares :P

Haha hoarding is the way to go. I hoard them too even if it's an item I don't think I'll ever use!

When you say higher end price - you still keep it below the actual store price right? Like not higher than store price?

i admit that i am a hoarding with my commons too. but to answer to question of what do i do with my commons, i organize them! lol and make outfits with them.

I probably own less commons than anything else.

I usually only buy commons once I've created an avatar to my liking in the dream avatar creator otherwise; I just skip over them.

But when it comes to buying, I just head into the shops and than sell them to the sell back store for quick gold.

Honestly, I store them and use them all later! I used to sell them back when I first joined. If I was done with an outfit, I sold the items back and used the gold to start questing a new outfit.

But a couple years ago I got tired of my puny inventory and starting just holding onto the items. I try to use all my items at least once!

I don't own enough of them to be happy. But enough of them to make organizing my invo impossible.

Seriously though, to answer the question, I don't have many items at all, considering I've been a user as long as I have. I don't have any duplicates in commons so I keep them and often they come in handy to complete an avatar. [yes]

The only commons I have right now are the ones I'm wearing, I think. ;v;
I rarely ever buy them, because I'm a cheap-o.
If I get bored of them, I usually go to the sellback store. c:

No. I respect not buying commons (our rares are so amazing you can easily make an outfit using them) but you use of the sellback store breaks my heart! thanks randeh! i organize by layer then by colour. keeping CI's, EI's, NPC items and random other multi-equip items separate.

but the drawer as not organized by layer... they should be... but instead it goes tops, corsets, dresses, bottoms, leggings, shoes, head items, panties, accessories, handhelds, EI's, CI's then pets and finally NPC

That's a pretty solid method. I have separate drawers for my rares and each drawer is organized by release date. Then for commons I have a "Head" drawer, "Tops" drawer, "Waist" drawer, "Bottoms" drawer, "footwear" drawer and my main inventory is for wrist/hands.

Then within in each drawer it's organized. So for tops it goes bras, tube tops, t-shirts, long sleeves, dresses. Then in bottoms it's short skirts, medium skirts, long skirts, shorts, capris and pants XD

And basically like that for the other drawers. I don't organize by colour though haha!

When I sell my commons it's because I want rares and I can't afford them. I just use the sell back store since I want the money immediately. I only sell commons I haven't worn in a very long time... or ones that I've fallen out of love with.

Yeah it drives me INSANE on Gaia, but here it just makes me go "GAH WHY DO YOU TEASE ME LIKE THIS!" So it's annoying, but not angering on Mene LOL!!Alright I need to talk to the head of Mene. They need to make it so that the sellback store takes my gold and gives me the items HAHA

In all honesty most of my inventory is white commons. Most of the other colors I somehow acquire I give out to random users at random times... And the occasional snack. [ninja]

I fold them nicely into my drawers for future use. Separated by store. XD
