I don't like gifts... they make me feel unpleasant... so of course I would avoid them...

You do know, that it makes the person on the other end, the giver, happy, right?

It's complicated... very complicated...
Though when people throw a tantrum because I wont accept something... it only makes it harder for me to accept things. (It's happened a number of times)

I don't demand people take gifts, but I have been known to randomly gift things to people.
