The forward slashes in .//crim's name will be what's preventing the pings, as they're part of a url etc. It's no different to people who bork things by having < in their name, as that's code too.

The difference there Nemo, is the ones where you and me were talking were via support, which is GMail. Penpal emails are mass emails generating from Menewsha's mail system.

The offline thing is an option you can select to always show offline... that or your username broke that too

It's not too much of a problem, unless you want pinged.

That's quite possible since I don't recall selecting any option to appear offline...
