I don't think anyone really believes "all blondes are dumb" or "all redheads are sluts" or any of those things. But I'm blonde and occasionally I have stupid moments. So I'm going to call those blonde moments. When I dye my hair red and I do that, I say "my blonde is showing through". It's just a saying.
Besides, the darker my hair gets, the more I want to hold onto those things that make me "blonde".
I cried when I got a ticket and the officer wrote my hair color down as "brown". It's still ash blonde, damnit!

No. Brunettes and black haired people managed to stay out of stereotype land. Likely because dark hair is more common.
