Yet in spite of this it seems some members seem to agree with me, but seeing as it's the admins and they don't actually care what we think. It was pointless to even bother.

Yeah, all those second chances and disapproved pop-ins are frustrating, aren't they?

The way I see it, Afrodonkey is looking just to boost the morale of the site. People complain that this site is so stagnant and nothing ever happens. Unfortunately, now it looks like they are trying something to boost up the site a bit and just have a bit of random fun (because many other sites do things like this...for example, every year deviant art changes everyone's icons to something crazy for april fools) people still complain. At this point it's finding a happy medium.

Unfortunately trying to please people who complain that nothing happens angers other people. Finding a happy medium will be good.

MY ONE PIECE OF ADVICE FOR THOSE COMPLAINING - this will NOT last forever, you can bet that. Just like DA's april fools prank only ever lasts a day..this won't last long. Luckily what you CAN do is not feed afro's fuel. Afrodonkey feeds off of people who talk to him. So if you don't want afro to talk to you, avoid him.

If you don't like this bit of fun, once it's over, maybe leave a nice, well-written feedback in the site feedback forum. And if you DO like this bit of fun, also leave a nice and well-written feedback. Because that's what we always look for....feedback. But lets all be civil towards each other including those who DO like it and those who DON'T.

But see... I can see this as being something that happens around April Fools... not in October.
This is just seen (to me) as badly placed trolling, and isn't entertaining or funny at all...

But stuff like this happens around Halloween for many sites as well. Costumes of some kind, avatar changes to make it appear that way, trick or treating type gags. Stuff like that.

Do we advocate trolling on this site or not? Because I'm really confused here.

And I didn't want to talk to an admin pretending to be a gimmicky troll character. I wanted an actual straight answer. But instead they brought that stupid thing here. I have made only ONE direct reply to the gimmick.

If I wanted to deal with stuff like this, I'd actually consider going to Gaia online. I came to Menewsha to get away from this kind of nonsense quite a few years ago. Yet suddenly I'm seeing Gaia all over again.

afro donkey isn't a troll. He simply is an npc. I remember him and yumeh were often blamed for broken code and the like and I think it made things more interesting.

That's the thing, you're upset because these colors give you a headache. Are you a lurker, like the other two, or do you actually chat and use the avatars as a way of finding people, like me? And actually less like me because I see these people as my friends and I've been trying to learn their names more than their avatars for a while now.

On top of that, your solution is to leave, not just to a different game, but to a game that is also notorious for giving headaches.

What's annoying me is the people who threaten to leave over every little thing. That's basically threatening the site to bend to their will instead of just explaining what's up. I just checked the Site Feedback forum, and there is not one thing there about this issue, so people are also "spamming" by posting their complaints in the wrong forum.

I'm sorry I offended you, but it really cheeses me off when people take such a dramatic leap over a small thing. Who knows? This could be a leap into "I am" items and things like that.
