Do we advocate trolling on this site or not? Because I'm really confused here.

And I didn't want to talk to an admin pretending to be a gimmicky troll character. I wanted an actual straight answer. But instead they brought that stupid thing here. I have made only ONE direct reply to the gimmick.

If I wanted to deal with stuff like this, I'd actually consider going to Gaia online. I came to Menewsha to get away from this kind of nonsense quite a few years ago. Yet suddenly I'm seeing Gaia all over again.

The definition of a troll is someone who deliberately posts provocative message with the INTENTION of causing arguments and MASS disruption.

First of all, I can honestly state that this was never meant to TROLL the users. Because it was never INTENDED to cause MASS argument and disruption. Since it wasn't intended, that means it isn't trolling.

In addition, I have to agree with poet. Unfortunately I see only a couple people who are upset with bit of fun. That takes out the MASS argument/disruption part of it as well.

So really, it's not trolling.

I'm sorry that you see this as trolling. I see it as a way a website is trying to lighten up the atmosphere as we head into Halloween. It is meant to be fun. People can run around proclaiming their love of Afrodonkey.

In a very similar way, a couple years ago, we had an event where you could pick either being an angelbunny for Mr. Mayor or be part of Peeb's minions. People ran around and had fun with that.

As I stated before. I'm sure this has nothing to do with trolling users. It was meant as a fun way to lighten up the mood, the help promote that we are looking for ways to prevent this website from being stagnant, and to give the users something fun to talk about.

I am trying to be active in the forums, chatting with people, role-playing and being productive. I'm building my avatar as a reflection of what I like so people get to know me. The question will be, do people want to get to know me. I seem to be able to converse with people fairly easily.

I don't see how Minecraft is notorious for giving headaches. I've never had that problem while I simply build, and try to survive. An arrangement of colors in such a way that literally hurts my eyes isn't in the same ballpark in my opinion over it.

THat's why this bit of fun didn't last very long! Just something to get people talking, lighten up the atmosphere. But it quickly goes back to normal! No worries :) They understand people work hard for their items and want their avatars to reflect that :D

Because just because someone doesn't assimilate into the mob of everyone else, doesn't make them someone that everyone can go and attack (just my opinion). Everyone wants to get to know each other here. From what I've seen in quite a few posts people are ready and waiting for the lurkers to join in. There are actually a few discussions on how to make that happen, one of them being the rule change in the GD.

It's the arm motion. Which person do you play in? First, behind, front, or far? If you prefer first and the arm is constantly swinging it's a bit unsettling to the periferals. They've had a few issues with it, which is why the game is one of many to advocate setting the controller down every once in a while.

This was a bigger issue then 'I want my avatar back'. It literally was painful to look at. That's fine, people liked it. I was voicing my opinion. I admitted already I was wrong with how I did it. But I felt attacked over it. That's not something I want to feel. A joke is a joke, not everyone can enjoy it, but things went a little too far.

So kisara are you saying that if afro donkey was brown and normal you would have been fine with it?

I can see that! I just created a constructive feedback thread and mentioned that in it. I think that's a good point. Having normal afrodonkey might be easier with people who can't look at bright colors! :)

Honestly, I would of been more open to it. Heck, I probably would of joined in and had fun. The normal Afrodonkey would of actually been more fun to me.

Here's the thing though: To my knowledge we weren't given a choice about this happening nor were we given information about this in advance. It's just here: Afrodonkey. And some people are turned off by the rainbow vomit. This is just my opinion here...give us a chance? Or a choice?
