Odd question involving Items...
 

I really do hope this is the right place to ask this but...

Is it possible for someone to commission items be created? It was a random question I had because I was wanting to make my avatar have a style similar to the Vocaloid Luka Megruine, and it got me thinking. I have a feeling it's probably a no, but that's the worst someone can say to my question. :D

There isn't a way to commission items to be used but there is the next best thing.

You can suggest a certain item or a theme of items be made for future use. We are constantly checking into these forums for ideas and to see what YOU the user wants. :3

This or the Info desk is the right place for this kind of question [yes] Commissioning items isn't something we've ever done, but it's something that's been brought up several times over the years by different people. The only way this could happen would be by paying for it in cash and it wouldn't be a $10 fee or something, it would have to be a decent chunk of change to cover Wishie's time.

What it boils down to is, we have no precedent for this so there's no easy answer for it!

I wasn't thinking 10$. Low end, I was speculating $100. I understand there isn't an easy answer, that's why I was hesitant to ask about it. As I said, Worst answer i'd get is no. ^-^;

It's something that would need a bunch of discussion amongst the staff, and we will discuss it. Can't say much more than that at the moment. :)

Then I eagerly await the final outcome of the decision. :3

That kind of amount wouldn't be worth our while for the work required, to be honest Poet. Kisara's figure of $100 is a bit more of a realistic ball park figure, but there'd be legalities and all sorts involved with something like this to protect everyone involved, and we'd never consider an exclusive item that only the commissioner owned; not enough money exists for us to create something like that >< That would just piss off every other person on the site. [gonk]

If they commissioned the item I could see them getting a free one, then having it listed as a mennies item for X time or if that would be unfair, having the rest sold as auctioneer items

It would be a Mennies item Poet, available to everyone.
