That's usually because the font isn't one of the ones that's on your computer If you click the Start button down there in the corner and tap "fonts" into the search it'll show you your fonts folder and you'll be able to take a look at the ones that you do have. It will be utterly rivetting, I assure you!

Get a room, you two!

Maha, yep! It's also really easy to install fonts! I use dafont.com. Installing new fonts enables people who use Photoshop etc. to use them for artwork, you see. I'll pick a new one to download and screenshot the process for you.

I'm going for this one, just because of the name

Click where it says download, then open the file from your downloads folder, then extract it.

It will extract into the same folder, then you'll see something like this.

Then you right click on the font file itself (you don't need any other bits) and click install, and that's it

Font installation is the easiest and also the greatest.

I make sure to install tons of fonts for every occasion. Never know when you'll need em.

I tend to keep a big folder of fonts on a separate drive, and install them to use them for a project, then uninstall them afterwards.

The more fonts, the slower the computer, it's a known fact.

Gimp on my native Windows takes 3 minutes just to load the fonts, and on my Linux, the whole program loads in 15 seconds.

Of course I'm using Linux right now, so it's not like I have a million fonts installed. Probably about thirty. I do like that I can just drop them in the fonts folder and not have to install them, though. None of the right-clicking for me.

I try to have enough standard ones to display web pages properly, but once in a while a page on a site will render in an 80's-looking font like Courier, and yeah, that's kind of gross, I admit.
