~After a long a grueling week of investigations Cora and zigbigadorlube were finally led back to speaking with one of the suspects they had already spoken to. Evidence was stacked against her, at least that is what Cora would have everyone believe. She had never really said much about the death of her dearly beloved boyfriend and she also appeared to be hiding something. Cora and zigbigadorlube decided to put the heat to her until she spilled the beans or gave them something to work with...~

Cora: It’s her, she has guilt written all over her.

zigbigadorlube: I still think Albert was involved.

Cora: Give it up ziggles, Albert is innocent. Zelda did it remember?

zigbigadorlube: Yeah yeah, I still think Albert framed her, but whatevs.

~Cora and zigbigadorlube enter the interrogation room where Zelda is sitting with both her arms and legs crossed looking distinctly angry~

Zelda: When my father hears about this you guys are going to be sorry! This is harassment! [illgetu]

zigbigadorlube: Knock it off Zelda, we have distinct evidence that puts you at the scene. ~Takes out the Knife and throws it on the table~ That knife was found at the scene, that knife was sold to you recently. We have heard as much from your sources.

Zelda: Ha! You think you have me on that knife, that knife wasn’t even used to kill dear Kenneth.

~Cora and zigbigadorlube look at one another and smirk~

Cora: Tell us how you killed Kenneth, Zelda.

Zelda: *Anger boiling all over her face* I DIDN’T KILL KENNETH!

zigbigadorlube: ~Slams hands on table~ Tell us how you killed him Zelda!

Cora: ~Puts a hand on zigbigadorlube’s shoulder and gives her a meaningful look, then turns to Zelda~ I think you put two and two together that Kenneth was cheating on you with Lilith Moran and you simply had to have your revenge on him. You waited until the dead of night and chose to surprise him at work, when you knew he’d be alone. You feigned innocence, and then you struck.

Zelda: Ha! If only he was cheating with that hussy Lilith Moran, things might have been different then. Maybe then he'd have just let me go in peace and quiet. That’s all I wanted you know, was to leave in peace and quiet.

zigbigadorlube: ~Soothingly~ Tell us Zelda, tell us what happened.

Cora: We can’t help you if you don’t tell us the truth.

Zelda: ~Lets out a big sigh but then consents to talk to them~ The truth, huh, the truth is always much different than people would have you believe. Yes, Lilith Moran had been seen in Kenneth’s company a lot lately, but not for the reasons you guys might think. Kenneth was a dirty cop, if you haven’t worked that out already, but I suppose starting at the beginning is probably the best idea.

I am, or rather was, a chocoholic. I love chocolate, despite the fact that the government has put a ban on all things chocolate I simply could not give up my one love. Behind my father’s back for years I lied, stole, and cheated my way into more speakeasies and chocolate fixes then most people could ever dream of. That is how I met Kenneth.

In the beginning Kenneth was charming, and sweet, and in with the Morans. His in with the Morans meant an endless supply of the chocolate I so desired. We saw each other socially at first and then we became more of a thing until suddenly we were known as an official thing. I got deeper and deeper into the chain of lies that surrounded both Kenneth and the Morans. I knew more secrets then most people in the organization and for a while I was fine with that if it meant I could have a steady stream of chocolate.

And then I met Albert. Meeting Albert changed everything. I used to visit Kenneth at the Police station you see, and Albert was always there. As dirty a cop as Kenneth always was, Albert was the exact opposite, Albert was a very good cop. He was never mixed up in any of the illegal chocolate business. I started to talk to Albert more and more as time went on. At first we became fast friends and then eventually Albert admitted to me that he had fallen in love with me.

I didn’t know what to do, on one hand there was the web of secrets and lies that I told for my chocolate addiction, on the other hand there was Albert. Albert who I had thought of as a friend. Albert who had somewhere wormed his way into my heart so deeply that I didn’t think I would ever be free again. I wanted so badly to just leave Kenneth and go with Albert, but I knew Albert deserved more than the broken remains of a chocolate addict. I knew I couldn’t go with Albert until I rid myself of such a habit. I wanted out.

I approached Kenneth about it not long afterwards. I told him I wanted out, that I’d had enough. I’ll never forget the look in Kenneth’s eyes when I told him. At first he said nothing, just sat there with that twisted smile that will forever be ingrained in my soul. But when he spoke is was with a cold voice that I had never heard him use with me before. A voice that was cold to the core and chilling to the bone.

~Zelda closed her eyes and a shiver ran down her spine as she recalled the conversation.~

Kenneth: Nobody leaves once they are in, you’re not leaving.

Zelda: I mean it Ken, I’m going to say goodbye to daddy and then I’m leaving this god forsaken town.

Kenneth: Let me rephrase my darling Zelda, You’re not leaving here alive.

~Zelda opened her eyes and look at Cora and then zigbigadorlube~

Zelda: I knew then that I had only one option. I went to Eugene, our best speakeasy barman, and had him order me the best chocolate we had at our disposal. The poison I got on my own. In our line of business, nobody asks questions because nobody wants to know. I laced the chocolate with a heavy dose of poison and went to meet Kenneth at the Police station late at night.

I used my best feminine whiles, and apologized to Ken, with tears in my eyes and said I would never try and leave him again. I presented him the chocolate as a making up gift. He smiled that cruel smile but accepted the gift anyways. He ate some of the poisoned chocolate almost immediately as a sign of acceptance, and my plan was put into place.

I watched as his life left him before my eyes and then I picked up my purse and walked out. I knew when Albert found him, he would know it was me. I was also sure he would never forgive me or understand why I had done it. It broke my heart, but it was my only way out. The only way to free myself from the past that would haunt me.

There were some very close theories but unfortunately no one was 100% correct. For those who participated, you will receive 500 gold for each correctly guessed component of the crime and 100 gold for incorrect components.

He bent down to pick up a chunk & suddenly stood up & smashed his head into the crowbar held by Eugene. As he fell to the ground the chunk of chocolate he picked up became lodged in his throat. He didn't know that Lilith had poisoned the chocolate. Or that his last harsh words with Zelda was the straw that broke the camels back, she had snatched one of the tommy guns that was a piece of evidence which was at the courthouse for a trail & a shot him with it.

So in summery:
Lilith did it with poisoned chocolate from the Cafe
Eugene did it with a crowbar at Kenneth's house.
Zelda did it at the Mob headquarter's with a tommy gun stolen from police evidence at the Courthouse.

I hope you enjoyed my long winded theory for all the cards I never got. [lol]

While Mr. Dugan was intent on revealing what sort of cop Kenneth was, his motivation for killing the victim was of a different nature. Could it have been love for Mr. Dugan and the young Miss Dillenger? Or was he looking after her as per orders of her father? Only those involved could say.

I believe it started when Mr. Dugan confronted the victim at his residence about the nature between Miss Dillenger and the victim. Perhaps threats of teaching the victim a lesson on why you treat a lady like... a lady were thrown out. Or could it have played out that Mr. Dugan came to visit, armed with the weapon that killed Mr. Smith, in hopes to talk the victim out of a relationship with Miss Dillenger? Maybe this wasn't even the first time that they spoke about the very lady.

Im leanign towards Elliot Nitty, Joe could of found out his wife was stepping out on him, while out to dinner, he goes to the speakeasy to find out if this is true from Kenneth, his wife fallowing, there's a big fight, in which Lilith's heel gets caught in a crack of the sidewalks, like she said and snapped off, and in the scuffle, Nitty shoots Kenneth.

it also explains why Eugene Fitzgerald is so nervous, he could of possibly seen it all go down as the bartender.

So it was Eliot Nitty at the Speakeasy with a Gun 'nods'

Kenneth met Zelda at Joe's Speakeasy. He asked her out, but she only laughed in his face. Her daddy is a big deal in this town, she wouldn't be caught dead dating a nobody. She wanted a man of importance. A man with power. And her eye turned to Joe Moran, the local mob boss.

Zelda was a woman possessed of charm and beauty, and it was easy to wrap Joe around her finger. But Moran was a married man, and his wife, Lilith, was always lurking in the background.

Lilith Moran was the real power behind the throne. She saw all and knew all. And right now that floozy, Zelda, was becoming an obstacle. She could have simply had the little nitwit whacked, but her father, Robert Dillinger, wasn’t a man to be messed with. It wasn't going to be easy, but she'd have to come up with another plan.

Elliot Nitty offered up a bit of information. Eugene Fitzgerald, the bartender at Joe’s Speakeasy, told him that Zelda had a bad chocolate habit, and that she had recently given Kenneth Smith the cold shoulder. This gave Lilith an idea.

She approached Kenneth, and told him of Zelda's addiction. The girl had made a fool of both of them, so it was time she paid. Kenneth would plant some chocolate on the dame and have her arrested. -- But Kenneth, still stung from the rejection, used the information to instead blackmail Zelda into becoming his girlfriend.

This was a problem for Zelda. Having to be at the beck and call of this peon was humiliating. Something had to be done.. She asked Joe to take care of Kenneth. But he declined. Good inside men were hard to find, and business always came first. Now what to do? -- Well, if the criminals weren’t t going to help, she'd have to turn to the law.

This is where Albert Dugan comes in. Zelda turned on her patented feminine wiles and confessed to Albert that Kenneth Smith was trying to blackmail her. "I never touched an once of chocolate in my life." She lied, but a scandal like this could ruin her daddy's campaign. Albert had to do something, Zelda said. He had to expose Kenneth. And she was going to help him.

Word moves fast through the underground. And Lilith learned that Zelda was meeting with Dugan. This wasn't good. A twit she might be, but the girl knew certain things. No, it was time to take care of Zelda, Dillinger permanently.

Kenneth had disobeyed Lilith, so he would take the fall. She had a special box of chocolates prepared. She gave it to Eliot who delivered it to Eugene. Eugene was given strict orders to give the box to Kenneth.

Kenneth had told the bartender that he frequently met Zelda at the Grand Luxe Hotel. Eugene gave him the box of chocolates, saying it was a special variety from overseas. It would make a delightful present for Zelda, and Kenneth gladly accepted.

Outside the Grand Luxe Hotel, Albert confronted Zelda before she went in. "I love you." He confessed. "I'll do anything for you." The girl was upset. "Then why isn't Kenneth behind bars!" Albert was at a loss. "I've tried. I'm doing the best I can."

But Zelda would hear none of it. If Albert couldn't find the evidence, maybe it was time he made some. Dugan was shocked. He couldn't do that. "Then you can say goodbye to me." Zelda sneered. "I wouldn't be caught dating a two-bit cop anyway."

Albert's heart was broken. He secretly followed Zelda into the hotel and up to the room. It was time to confront Kenneth. But when he heard a scream, he busted in. And there was Kenneth dead. The crooked cop had waited so long for Zelda, he got bored and ate some of the chocolate. And it was the last thing he would ever do.

The candy was meant for the dame, but ol' Kenny's sweet tooth got the better of him.

So, when all's said and done, the murderer is Lilith Moran, with the Poison Chocolate, in the Grand Luxe Hotel.

I think Joe found out about Kenneth's meeting with Lilith and decided to get involved. He came over to Kenneth's House that night under the pretense of having a job for him. Since Kenneth, having been working with the mob for quite some time now, didn't suspect anything, it was quite easy for Joe to just slip the poisoned chocolate in with the rest of Kenneth's stash, it was just a matter of time before he would eat it, no one would be the wiser.

Let's see I found two shoes in different places. So I think perhaps I didn't get the idea of the game and I just picked places randomly. The only person who's feet you can't see are Lilith's so she's the only one who could have left them. Why in different places though who knows. Maybe her husbands secret wasn't chocolate smuggling but Dressing in drag. I also got Eliot twice. So I'm like O>O WHAA?

But when Albert arrived he found Kenneth dead on the floor, with a box of chocolate beside him. He knew Zelda had to have been the one, and he couldn't let her go to jail , for this worthless bum so he had to throw suspicion away from her. He casually shot Kenneth's dead body nine times with his gun and kicked the chocolate under the sofa than called the police.

And that's how it happened.
