I don't know why it would be, that mean maternity leave and they'll have to have someone cover that position anyway, especially if it's a job that needs a certain level of training.

I mean that has to be illegal you can't not hire someone because of their race religion I think pregnant status has to be in there too but I could be wrong I'm wrong about an awful lot it just seems like it should be wrong

I just Googled and they can't fire you because your pregnant they can't not hire you because you're pregnant or you could get pregnant or co-workers might not like it if he get pregnant so yeah I think it's cool she'll get the job

Having a job and becoming pregnant is a little different than being pregnant and trying to get hired. Again, it would depend on the job, but if it's one that needs someone who's trained, you'd just get done training someone and they'd go on maternity leave. So they just spent all this time training someone that won't even be there to do the job when they could have trained someone else who would still be there.
I'm not saying that it's not illegal, I have no idea. I just think it's a little ridiculous to not be able to choose who you hire based on something that you know will affect the job, even if just a by a few months. Being a certain race isn't going to affect the work you do.
Also, which country did you research? Cuz Lavvie isn't in the US. (Again I have no idea about either countries laws so I'm not trying to argue that it's wrong or anything.)

I cried you right I didn't research Canada but I still think it's a BS thing not to hire someone because they're pregnant I get your point about you know the training and then you have to replace them or other people have to work in their stead I just think it's terrible that because you're going to be a mom they want to hire you because becoming a mom means that you need the money really bad I just love her and I want her to get the job that's all and I know you're not arguing and I'm not taking offense or anything like that

I think I read that Canada does have some law against not hiring a pregnant woman and that they have to make the workplace good for a pregnant woman or something like that anyway I hope you get the job lavvie

Wow my copy paste on my cell phone just does not work I wonder when this started happening and I hardly ever look at what I'm posting by copy paste because I've already taken the time to proofread it or whatever
