I've donated to a few sites.
The first one I donated to was Gaia, that was back when I was playing on there for 10 hours or more a day. I figured the least I could do is give them some cash for the ammount of entertainment they were giving me.
Now I don't bother as I don't play there very much.

Powerpets I donate to quite often, as I like the fact that the money goes towards helping animals and the whole concept of that site is fantastic (to me anyway). I like that the owners genuinely care about animals and even moved house so they could start a foster farm and help out homeless dogs and cats. I donate to them more than I do other sites as I can't really justify spending a ton lining someone elses wallet, just to get shiny pixelated items, but when I see my cash actually helping make a difference as well as getting me shiny pixelated items... it's all good with me ^.^

Anitaria - I donated a lot to, as I loved the site and spent a lot of time there. Now not so much as I'm not entirely sure I like the direction the site's going in and am not sure I want to be part of it anymore.

I donated here after a day of playing, as it just looked like a site that has the potential to be something great.

I think mostof it goes to animals, I'm sure some of it has to go for server bills etc, but they don't seem to be in it for themselves.
They have a shop where you can buy real plushies and things and 100% of that goes to the foster farm foundation and if you go to the home page and click on the "Power Rescue" link there's a load of organisations listed that they've helped out with donations. It just makes me feel better about spending on pixelated things when I see that it's helping out animals and doing some good too ^.^

I can't find my referal link, but it's worth signing up if you want to have a look around ^.^ There are some great people there. Like any sites it does have some strange people, but most are pretty friendly ^.^

To tell you the truth, if it was Gaia and I was donating, it wouldn't be to support the site. It would be for the pixels, for the gold, etc. They make a lot of money, and I'm sure they make enough to cover server costs. However, I would never need to donate to Gaia, because I don't see them struggling, and also I can easily earn enough gold to buy a monthly collectible in 5 minutes or less, so it's not at all practical when you're struggling with money.

Now on a site like this, I can probably make the amount needed for a crown in a day. However, if I was ever allowed to donate, I'd donate to actually help out the site, since really I could make the crown in a day's work of posting. This site looks like it has a lot of potential, but might be struggling financially because it's so new, so I'd like to contribute to keep it running. So on this site, I'd donate to help and not for greed. xD But I can't donate so it doesn't really matter. :P Too insecure financially, also I have tyrant parents.

I have never donates to a pixel website yet but I've just been around them for six month now. I mostly use money for buying irl artworks.

Even if I wanted to, my parents wouldn't let me donate to a site.
Especially if it's just for pixels. xD

But if I did donate to a site, it would probably be this one.
I'm on Mene the most now. :3
I trust the team on Mene will put the money to good use.
And I figure that Gaia doesn't need any money from me. xD

For me, donating is two-fold. I wouldn't send money to a site just to keep it going - if they want money my hard-earned money they have to give me something in return (unless it's actually for a charity/non-profit). But I don't begrudge donating to sites like Gaia (I donate even when I don't like the items) because I do want to support them. ^^

I had joined gaia early enough to have donated to get a halo (had i know what the heck was goin on at the time :roll: ) and i started out in the chatterbox and then mosied on over the what is not the collectibles and breedables section and from thier exspanded over into the exchange which is probably my main area of focus and dedication on gaia, shortly there after i came accross the awesomeness that is your own avy art and have been an art whore since :D I offically started donating to gaia for myself and others in october of 2003 and have been everysince :3.
I joined on here and donated the first or second day :) I might get another set to keep for future stuffs thou i'll have to check the money flow situation thou :lol:

I started donating on Gaia when I first joined Nov. 04. Looking back I should have joined when I first had the chance which would have been in time for the halo. >.< I donate to help support the site, but mostly for the items. If I don't like an item I tend not to donate as much if at all. My reasons are selfish, I know, but I don't have much money so I need to get something good in return. Then again if I really like an item I'll donate extra to get more. Which reminds me I'm off to Gaia to complain to a mod again.

I use to donate to Gaia, but really--they have more than enough support with Craig now.

I don't think I'll be donating to Menewsha. Keeping myself afloat is much more important, sorry to say.

I like supporting sites and getting my rare pixels.

I'm considering selling off my zantarni horde though.. I never could get into that site.

I have NEVER donated and NEVER will. My parents doesn't support that and neither do I. o.o' I don't like spending $2.50 for pixels when it can buy me lots of candy from this really cheap store across the street.....
I would like to if it was cheaper but sadly no. ^^ And plus, when you're saving up for Harvard/Stanford, it's pretty hard to convince your parents to donate. O____O

Since I have my own money and accounts, I can donate, but typically I don't because I feel bad spending real money on something I can just buy with fake money. However, that's much easier on Gaia than it is here. I have quite a bit more gold over there. XD

I wanted to donate $25 to the site today. :( But the card I use for some reason won't accept online purchases which really bites since I had bought it originally for online purchases. So I basically wasted $100 and I can't support this awesome site. My parents wouldn't be happy if I used their card.

Wow, this thread was resurrected or somethin. XD I donated for a bunch of crowns, not only to support the site, but also to help me get some gold so I could get some items. o.o; On Gaia I used to donate, at the beginning.. but after a while I was so disillusioned with the flaws and behavior of the admins and mods that I stopped caring to donate, and I would just get the items with gold.
