I'm torn because I really do like the intimate setting that allows for getting to know other people better. At the same time I like to be active and there's no one to carry a steady conversation with.
It does force me to visit all the different areas though, that I might not have visited otherwise. So despite being small, it still feels kind of lonely. Ideally, it would get a little bigger- so that there's steady activity throughout the day but not so large that you get lost easily. But once the site grows, most of the people who know each other will start to cling together forming groups which quickly becomes "us" and "everyone else". |
I'd like to see enough people online all the time for active participation whatever the hour.
I do notice that this time of the day seems to often be a quiet period, even though there's often the highest amount of people online around now...weird! http://i19.tinypic.com/4z0n4sj.gif |
Maybe everyone's lurking around waiting for someone else to say something first.

The smaller, the better.
Menewsha being a small community is what gives it that family and friendly feeling. I wouldn't have it any other way :] |

I mean, in some ways we have, every day when i log on, there's so many faces I do not recongize. But then, there is still very many of us I do, and have the small town feeling of knowing everyone. It's kind of more like a diner, that has regulars who have been going there for the past 40 years or since they were children, with the same wait staff every day and with new customers every once and a while. That's how I see it here sometimes. |
I agree, i like your diner analogy!
There are still many familiar faces here, i'd love to see some more of the newer members coming back regularly though http://i16.tinypic.com/5y06bt4.gif |

gaia is so packed with people and it gets confusing sometimes, i n towns or cinemas i cant find myself do any of you play zwinky? |
I'm new here, and I like the difference from Gaia. I think I'll remain active there, but still spend plenty of time here.
|
yeah, having not too many people around is a bit ok, i dont get confused with the conversations happening in my fave threads :>
but im sure this wont last long, cuz there'll be more and more people joining XD for now, im enjoying chatting with a few friends in the site :> |

I agree about being so used to gaia and then coming here, it's completely different.
Do you enjoy the quietness of Menewsha? Yeah, I like how it's slow and there's not so many people, for the most part. After a while, it might be boring if there's nobody on to to talk to, though. But in that case, you can just leave and come back ni a few hours ^^ Does this allow you to check out other forums or other parts of the site? Yeah, you can easily visit all the different forums without worrying that a thread you were in will get lost amongst the others :3 Your favorite thing about Menewsha? Probably the fact that it is so small right now, and it's easier to make friends and not lose threads. I also have to say I really like the avatars on here. ^^ |
I do love the quietness of menewsha. I also agree on the whole being used to gaia then coming here.
I have to say that its a bit complicated, but i only think that mostly because im new. My favorite part of this site is how there is so many nice people |
On Gaia I usually hang out in a guild. It's much smaller than Mene, so I pretty much got used to quiet moments. Or hours. It's a bit boring, but I don't have anything against it. Hey, I can do something else to get myself occupied at that time, right? :D
|
Yeah, Katurine, that's another way at looking at things. ^^ During the slow moments, you can always go off and do other things to entertain yourself. :3

Do you enjoy the quietness of Menewsha?
Not when I want to talk a lot, but I can deal with it. It can be pleasant compared to the rush of Gaia. Does this allow you to check out other forums or other parts of the site? Yup. On Gaia, if I leave the exchange for a second, my thread could be on page 3 x.x Here, it doesn't matter if I leave a certain thread for a little bit, since things move a bit slower here. It's nice. Your favorite thing about Menewsha? The sense of a community. Gaia has that feeling of a big society, but here, it's much more friendly and comforting. Plus, the avvies and items here are really pretty. |
I LOVE THE QUIET HERE!!!
Ahem, sorry. |

Well i think the quietness can be cosy sometimes, but can also be frustrating at others. I mean if you've already replied to tons of things, you can get bored unless you have friends online.
But as more members join, i hope they respect and also encourage the friendly atmosphere of the community of Menewsha, and that they don't try and spam too much. Generally i'm all for making new friends. :] |
Do you enjoy the quietness of Menewsha?
The quiteness is AWSOME. Thats basically the reason why I hang out here more than Gaia > : D Less retards also. Does this allow you to check out other forums or other parts of the site? Um, sure? Your favorite thing about Menewsha? Everything about it : ) |
I suppose it takes a little to get used to not seeing millions of people and their second characters online here, but I do like it a lot better.
There is less to go through, and it is easier to use as well. The people are a lot nicer here, and a lot more willing to talk to you and help you. Though it does freak me out a little when I log on and everything is dead... I really like it a lot better here. |
Its More Nice and peaceful around here.
|
I sort of like it and sort of don't. Since I'm so used to Gaia and all. What I like about Menewsha...I uno, I just do. =3
