Origin of your username
Some users on Menewsha have really cool and unique usernames that others would never think of. But feel free to post here even if your username is as boring as mine is... :mrgreen:
My username is Ling and I'm surprised at how many people seem to take up this name on other sites so I feel lucky to have it on this site. Anyway, the reason why I'm attached to this username is because it's based on the pin yin of my Chinese name except without the tone mark. So how did you come up with your username? |
Well It was originally the name i came up for my mule account on gaia... I was in an RP I really loved about Geisha and Samurai and my character was slightly Emo... So I came up with this name because of my Emo geisha character... But I thought Jaded was a more Polite way of saying Emo so I went with that... Plus it sounds prettier too!

Well when I first joined Gaia, the first person I met was Spamster. We talked alot for a while, and then he just vanished. o.o;
Then, on my final day on Gaia, I met Love.exe. We had a nice long chat, we talked about alot of stuff and I really liked her personality and username. So there you have it, Spam.exe. My loveley username I couldnt live without anymore. I've had it for almost two years now. 8) |
A lot of my friends on Gaia, and a few in real life call me Kyon. x3
It started on Gaia, actually. I made a new account in 05, and I named it 'Kyon-Kun' after Fruits Basket's Kyou. >>;; A weeaboo start, but, I like it. XD |

I decided after a year on Gaia, that I needed a username without all those crazy signs and numbers.
So I started thinking, and just came up with this one. It doesn't mean anything, but I really like it. And on almost any website, my username is Some Random Randomness, so I just stick with it. ^^ |

Back about 4 or 5 years ago on IRC one of my friends wrote a story about all of us, and this is the name she gave me. A little while after I wanted a female account also on Gaia and I named it this, a couple of years later I changed the account to male and it became my main, and now I use this name lots.

Oh God, Mine has no interesting origin what so ever,it must one i created sometime after Pixelated evil, and I decorated My Lj with spoons, so the persona of The Mystical Spoon was born, I guess.

My name is a simple English word. I'm quiet, so I chose this name.

I created mine back probably 5 or 6 years ago when I was getting into fanfic writing and needed a penname for FFnet. I had just read a book in which the main character's name was Aliena and I liked it - had never heard it before and thought it was pretty. So I used as my penname, Lady Aliena. And then for other place online, smashed Aliena against the word Rose to make Alienarose. But then too many people thought I was an alien that was raising from the dead or something and I decided later on that simpler is better, so I'm back to good ol' Aliena, which is what people always shortened my name to anyhow.

It's my elven name according to some generator XD
I liked it alot so I just used it. It means starspray, cause the character was born under a waterfal where she lives, and the sprinkles of the waterfal looked like stars. I also use the name Lady Elwing alot, that came because sometimes the name Elwing was already taken when I registrate somewere like Gaia or other games (mostly it's take by people who just registrate and never come back). I also resently used the name Elwingya on Flyff. |
I used to be a crazy Sailormoon fan, and the Czech word for 'moon' happens to be 'mesic'.
It stuck with me for years until I was trying to make a character on Everquest and couldn't think of a name. And lo and behold, the name "Mesic" floated up out of my subconscious. I use this name everywhere, and never cease to marvel that it never seems to be taken. Its a great nickname for me... my real name is "Jessica", so "Mesic" is surprisingly similar. I've been using this nickname for... eight years now? Yeah, something like that. :p Fun facts: "Mesic" is a town in North Carolina. I dearly wish to visit there some day and buy cheesy souvenirs. The term 'mesic' also describes marshy ground. |
Mine is fairly obvious if you've either read the novel or seen the movie Memoirs of a Geisha.
I started using this name on Gaia after I'd read the novel (waaay before the movie was even in production), I think it was early 2004 and I tend to try and use it as much as possible. I have a shortened version of it as a screen name on Zantarni XD |

My sister was looking for a band name, while I was looking for mythical creatures in the dictionary. I have a habit of writing down any good words I find, and I saw the word praenomen. It seemed to have the kind of flow that I had been looking for in a good word, so I checked out the definition.
