I don't care for your attitude Vanity, if I'm honest with you, you are going about this in entirely the wrong way.
Because, strictly speaking; the entire case is between the moderator and the user. If regular users got access to all of our cases and behind the scenes information then what would the divide between our roles on this site be?

- After consideration, I decided to edit them all, explaining why. I was not only off topic, but might have touched some sensitive issues with both you, and Dare. So I'll bite the bullet and loose the gold. I apologize for my out burst, and for taking your thread off topic.
Thank you for the discussion.

Thanks for helping me understand a little bit more about the situation Vanity. While I respect your decision to personally talk to this issue with Josh only, I have come to understand where your issues lies.
Also, your opinions are valuable to me as well regarding this particular auction. Doing this sort of thing was risky, but if I have to sacrifice my good name to the cause, I would do it. Though I did debate over the results of my actions, and made sure to plan it out as best as I could.

Ok, i'm not one to tear right through 24pages and all, so.
In order to bid right now, you must have
1 enough gold
2 No crown or V-day items.
3 a screenshot of your Invo(s)
right?
And also, how do we know exactly whats being bid on, I'm confused with that too.
Thank you for helping.

You have to bid with gold, yes. You can't have a crown to bid on crowns nor a v-day item to bid on a v-day item. And you need a screenshot of you and your mules items.
And the amounts that were just bid are in the thread and in the third post updated often.

This doesn't make any sense to me...the point is to deflate items. If there is no one else bidding then why add the extra gold. Why not keep the extra in reserve in case someone does outbid you so you can comeback and outbid them?
|
Well lets say the person outbids another by having only 1g because it's all they can afford at the time. Making their bid larger helps them feel more secure about getting the item.
I really didn't think too much of it because eventually people will see how much items we have of it, they won't need to inflate them in such a way. Also, in comparision to the v-day item prices previous to this time, I would say they are pretty cheap.
Shaggy, that's why I specified "for profit."

AV TB: The auctions will be going on for some time, but it really would be better to try and purchase items from it as soon as you can. :3

Also, these items are not being given away but sold for no profit - all the money deleted. So it's not as if I am flooding the market with these items. But we will never advocate offsiting EVER. And if they put so called "hard work" into getting these items, what they really did was manipulate our economy for their own gain. If the prices on the v-day items was really high, then he could sell the items for more and more money offsitewise. So with this entire hoard of items was not only ruining our economy, but forcing those avid questors TO offsite.
|
Is there something wrong with vending? Does that show that people here can get in trouble for simply collecting items to sell for profit later?
I personally think that being able to vend can prove as hard work, gaiaonline is a good example of that @[email protected];; Exchanging there can be a nightmare. Just having large quantities of a type of item doesn't prove that there has been indeed offsite dealings. However if there is proof of such, then:
a) That person did disobey the rules and rightfully should be banned
b) Those items should be confiscated. If they have already been caught of doing such dealings then what says they couldn't have done something to the items themselves?
>x<

There is nothing wrong with vending but because of the so few v-day items in the exchange, he and several others with v-day items were able to manipulate the costs of our entire community. And do you really want most of the wealth of Menewsha to be in the hands of few rather than spread across many?
But he was proven to offsite a long time ago, and we have been trying to catch him. But all his items were spread to MANY mules (also against the rules). So in essensce we confiscated the items.
So really, this is more of like a police auction... you know those kind that sell items that were gainned illegally? That's how I like to see it. XD

Police auction - yes! That is exactly like what this is like! Except you won't find hidden cubbyholes for drugs and guns in your v-day pin

xD It is indeed like a police auction lol.
I'm not one to judge on whether or not the wealth of menew resides in the hands of a few, some people are just more clever and are able to get gold over others >w< I'm not down for giving the newer ones more of a chance to gain gold for items. (Lets face it, it's hard to quest for items you want sometimes xD; )
Rawrr~ @[email protected];; *scratches head* all of this is giving me a headache thinking about it.
