I still love gaia no matter how screwed up its turned out to be ^^; abandoning gaia doesn't make you a 'true' menewshan or whatever, and visa versa

No offence, but its threads like this that make gaian users think we hate them and that they are all idiots and stuff ^^;

This place will hopefully weed out those who are just being idiots and let the rest to have fun.

I’m a member of gaia as well, and was still pretty active despite the fact it got a tad boreing. Then Rivayne showed me mene and I started posting here. I Admit, I’ve like logged into gaia twice since she sent me mene >________>. All my friends must think I’m dead on there.

I've been a member of Gaia since 2004
but since that day i got hacked, about a week ago...
and losing 3 years worth of stuff, I just gave up and my "gaian sister" linked me to this site
i hope this doesn't end up like another Gaia and have so much spammers and hackers roaming around the forum.
That's basically why i went to this site, because this site have so much friendlier people on it

Well, since I've came here, I don't really go on
Gaia much anymore. I'll go just to check my PM's
and comments, and check out updates / avi arena,
then I leave.

I came when someone referred it to me after I talked in a thread against Gaia becoming a money-hungry corporation.

I joined in March, but I am still fairly active on Gaia. Ever since they changed the gold making amounts, the poll guild I was actively talking in had their participation plummet. Since...I like to have random conversations...and Menewsha provided tons of it...why not use it to supplement my needs?

*coughs* Sounds kind of elitist to make it sound like you have to abandon Gaia to be a "true Menewshan..."

I came last June and I don't think an advertisement was running then. I'm still active on Gaia, and I'm non-biased towards both communities; this site is Menewsha, and Gaia is Gaia. I don't like the hate between the two and think they can coexist just fine without the unecessary drama.

I'm still active on Gaia and here. I don't come to the Internet very often like before but when can I just come see how the sites are. =3

Both sites are nice, although this one seems to be better then Gaia thanks to exist more people her that can be more kind then in Gaia... But still Gaia is not the worse place to me anymore... It seems that I got used to it. xD

I don't think there really is much of a problem on being on both Menewsha and Gaia at the same time at all. Although I am currently in the process of leaving Gaia, I still have friends there, and tons of gold just sitting there, waiting to be spent.

I also did not find out about Menewsha through Gaia, but rather Zantarni. Out of both websites, I personally prefer Menewsha, as it seemed more inviting.

I haven't been on gaia since.... *thinks* september. I've only joined recently here though... And I only joined there to advertise for my friends site XD.

im not sick of gaia i actually like gaia better but as soon as i get items then i will like this better

I came here because of the advert and have now droped my gaia acount, at least temporarily. i may go back and see how things are going... but it has changed so much since i joined back in '03... the mods and admins there don't care about the users at all.

I came from Gaia at the same time as the ad on Tektek and I really like Mene. I like the process of earning gold and I like that you have to post mostly to earn gold. I'm still quite active on Gaia and I'm coming on my second year on Gaia, and I refuse to leave Gaia to become a 'true Menewshian'. I have good friends and my two best friends are on Gaia and I doubt I could get them to join Mene.

I've on gaia for two *goin on third* years before I knew about this site and...wait, was this site even here then? I don't find anything wrong with being on both of these sites. They're great and hopefully people won't hold it against each other knowing where they came from..starting to sound like racism huh? I also refuse to leave gaia just because I won't be referred to as a true Menewshan if I don't. Peer pressure doesn't work on me. I like the fact that the more you type the more you earn and that it's pretty much spam free. Gaia also has it's advantages as well. So please, there's nothing wrong with gaia or the people from it. Yes there are intelligent people who reside in both sites. XD

I dropped Gaia when I came to Menewsha and since have hated Gaia. But a user who still plays would not understand and only feel threatened by your statement.

We act as we are accustomed to. I find a lot of the avid still-gaians obnoxious long before they declare that they are on Gaia. Gaia's whole feel and attitude rrepulses me. That isn't too say all Gaians are bad. I was an avid breedables forum-goer and know that forum has quality roleplay and intelligence. It all depends on what part of Gaia you come from and how you are accustomed to acting there.

The Gaia-goers that bother me most are those who bring with them Gaia's idea that being rich is everything and that it makes a user worthwhile. And also those who say stupid, mindless things.

I don't think it's fair to say that all Gaia-goers share some of Gaia's worst philosophies.

Well ive been on gaia since 04 and yes i have to admit its gotten real boring because they have nothing new. But recently ive been playing runescape as well. Its sorta weird with me ill play runescape for a few months then quit then play gaia for about a year and quit and then play this and knowing me ill probably quit in a few months.

I will always be a Gaian though I'm not sure I like the direction it's going. I'll always be loyal to the site. I also really like Menewsha and I respect the differences between the site. I don't see a problem for me to be on both.

With me, I'm not active on Gaia's forums. Instead, I am posting on Mene's forums. However, on Gaia, I still love going into towns to talk to my friends there. I don't really feel like dropping my Gaia identity, because on that site, I feel like I've built up a sort of personality with my avatar character, and I can sort of play it out a bit? But over here, the avatars are more static. Fun to dress up, and collect items for, most definitely, but it's not quite the same. I don't know. XD

I mean, I really do enjoy Mene for a lot of reasons. I've been here for 2 1/2 weeks. I'd have to say that I'm on both sites pretty much equally.

For me, being rich isn't everything. It's nice to be able to afford items on that site, especially the 04 and 03 items which are horribly inflated. But anyone with intelligence and some talent can do it in a short period of time. I mean, I have been on Gaia since March 31st of this year, and people are shocked that I have an Angelic Scarf and Golden Laurels. (Which I got from my friend, because I coded a layout for him)

But there are also people I have met who are so stuck up about their items. I once complimented this girl who had a pretty avatar with a lot of 03 items (at the time, I had 07's and one 06). She said "lol I think she wants me to say her avatar is nice too." And after that, I was just totally put off.

I also found a group of angelic avis (also around the same level), and I was hanging out with them for a bit one night, and a lot of them treated me like dirt because I was an 07er, but flocked to another user who had a sash (who later ended up being a friend of mine that I talk to) So it's kind of funny, because three months later, I've got a good deal of the Angelic items out there, while they are probably around the same level they were at. If I ran into them again, they'd probably treat me completely differently than they had two or three months ago.

There's also a lot of people that assume that because you are not into items THAT much, that you are just willing to give everything away to anyone. There's a lot of gold diggers out there. =/

But on Mene, this isn't really too much of a problem. I've found people are nice to anyone regardless if they have early items, or if they're still in their underwear... just as long as they follow the rules.

So these forums for me are a nice retreat, really. But I don't think that I will leave Gaia anytime soon. Maybe in a few years, I'm not sure.

I'm on both sites active and I think they have both their nice sites ^^

I heard abou Mene on Gaia and thought it would be nice to look at it and now I'm here too and love it!

I like Gaia and Menewsha, and I think it will stay like that for some time :3

No, no advertisement. I just posted in some forums, put the link in my sig, as well as my journal. There was no real ad.

Actually i found this site after gaia xD i quit because i was hacked and everything was gone and i was tired of it really :s

And this site seems a lot cleaner then gaiaonline

I joined awhile ago, and not because I was sick of Gaia, Because I was referred by a friend and felt curious about the new community, however I became invactive on Menewsha and have now decided to give it another shot after seeing all the changes and new items and things. I am an active Gaian through and through, since 04 <3.
