I can't remember my first impression about Menewsha. I guess I was slightly put off by the fact that I'd have to go around posting with my avatar being almost as naked as a jay bird. As such, I didn't stay all that long. I did manage to obtain the rabbit plushie before leaving, though.

But now I find myself thinking about trying to become more active on this site, and to see if I can finally get my avatar to be fully clothed. I'm not sure why I procrastinated on doing it, but I figure that it's time to stop doing that and get my behind in gear; it's a nippy world, and I don't want my avatar to catch a cold because of my horrible, HORRIBLE negligence.

:shock:That'd be like... avacide or some such crazy name, and I hear that the punishment for such a crime is extremely terrifying to even the most hardened individuals. I wouldn't want to imagine that.

All in all, though, I rather like the avatar bases and clothing, and the art is also something that looks appealing. I don't remember the art being in the header upon first signing up, and so I feel as if it's a nice change and much more appealing.

Anyways, the header and front page are pretty new, so that's probably why you don't remember them. :lol: There was a big layout change not too long ago, and the clothes and bases got updated.

My first thoughts where like 'It looks like fun, but the forums looks boring to me'. When I (better) looked at it, I loved it! And I still do, haha!

When I first joined everyone was naked, no clothing available, the lay-out was different and for less han 50 users signed up on the site, it was a hell of a lot more active.

my first impression? I knew about mene for along time, I joined about a month after it opened. But i have forgotten that account, and got a new one...
But In the end, I liked it Sadly! i've never gotten into it.. for the oddest reasons. I would love to be more involved in mene. But it seems I just can't
But I love it so, The avatars and items, are very nice and very pretty this is half the reason i originally joined.

my first impression was that i really liked the art/general design.

the only thing was that it took a really long time to make an avatar, since there are no images to choose from, just "female hair one", etc.

overall, though, i'm really liking it here.

When I first started becoming active I found myself actually looking through the shops and cringing. Mostly because I know how gold is made. I don't normally jump into conversations. I'm shy, I acknowledge that. I tend to stick to a thread that I am familiar with...familiar with the people...etc. Now roleplay...that's a different story. If I can get active in a good roleplay or get a 1x1 going I could go on forever. I've worn out alot of partners throughout the years. *Blushes*

But here...I am alone and starting new. It's a great big world and I feel tiny.

I ran into the site around August/September of last year from Starshine's art contest. I thought it looked nifty, but I didn't want to join because I'd already was so involved in Gaia. When the tektek ads were run, I came back and decided to register.

At first, I did think it was another Gaia-like site, in that it contained customized avatars. Still feel the same, at least with that sole aspect. I liked how they were bigger than Gaia's more ornate and detailed. I also liked the overall size and feel of them.

I like the community a lot. People are more mature and everyone is more down to earth and friendly. There's been a lot of rough times, but every site goes through that. I think out of every site I've been on, Mene is probably my favorite, just because of the community and avatars. You really feel like people care here, and aren't out to grab up your money.

My first thoughts of it was "wow...it's smaller than Gaia...and the avatars have longer legs and arms than the ones on Gaia!" XD I like the avatars here better. But I was annoyed because as I set up my avatar and looked through the shops, I noticed that there wasn't an option to try on what you want to buy before you get it. It annoys me not to know how it looks like on my avatar.
Then I noticed that unlike Gaia, you were given gold for each post, and the longer your post is the more gold you get. I like that, because on Gaia all you have to do is type something small once and you get a little gold, then when you actually write something fairly long, you only get about 1 gold.
What I like most here though is there isn't the nOObs here that beg for money and leave stupid comments. Gaia somes seems to be infected with those. Or the people that only post to say "VOTE FOR MEH!" for the avatar contests. So anoying...

I thought "Wow. This place is troll free. I have found an oasis of intelligence and fun on the internet!" :XD

I was also a little scared of the nakedness and how expensive the items looked, but I found my way around here pretty fast.

Well I have just started but when I first looked through the site, Menewsha really appealed to me. The characters are cute and the items seem pretty detailed. Unlike the severely populated and hectic Gaia, Mene has a nice calming flow about it and seems a bit more.. well.. intellectual, lol. I hope that I'll stay around and not get too swept up in other things, lol.

I was sort of wary, and was kind of put off by how confusing it was and how difficult it was to earn gold! But I had a friend on here, and I quickly got pulled into it. <3

My first impression was that the name was strange... But I liked the art in the first page, then I saw that there are pretty cool avatars... I also found that people here are very friendly...

I think that my first thought was something along the lines of, 'Holy crap, these avatars look so much better than Gaia's.' I've been on a few different avatar chat sites, but the bases and items on Menewsha are the best I've seen, so far, in my opinion.

I thought that the clothing and items were outstanding and that the artists work was exceptional.
I'm on three other avatar sites like Mene and none of them compare to this one.
