Unless you spend all your time buying everything with real money then you can keep your lurking ninja self hidden instead of interacting with others. Normally I would do that but now i'm wasting my money on scratch-offs. xD

I lurk all the time on Gaiaonline and on here it is so hard to earn money. I actually have to type. x-x' xD I don't always have anything to say though. I type on here but on Gaia I barely say anything. I don't even talk in my guilds. Then again they are all fan clubs and the only things in them are about how the couple of someone and someone would be or just tons of fanart.

I try to post as much as possible here on mene, this place doesn't move as fast as some of the other forums. So yeah I'm craving a good conversation here.

yeah ive noticed. lurking doesn't get you much. but i like being active and posting and gaming on menewsha (although i'm still poor >.>;) so it's not all that bad. but i like lurking too when i see an interesting topic that i dont have much opinion on

I've noticed that I've become more and more of a lurker here on Mene... I don't know if it is just because I generally can't think of what to post or if the topics aren't interesting enough for me to care to post...

I'm not normally a lurker, but here on Mene, it's hard for me to get into topics that are posted. I don't know if it's just 'cause I'm not interested in the majority of what's being posted or what it is... I've never had as much of a problem hopping into threads as much as I do here.

I still lurk often when I feel the situation is kinda awkward or if I feel that I shouldn't be in it. Otherwise I'd be typing and earning gold like this :)

Once I came here, I decided to jump into most conversations. It's not as easy to lurk on here as it is to lurk on gaia, but I still lurk if the conversation isn't just right for me.

I am not a lurker here or on Gaia, here it is to my advantage to post as much as possible. I really enjoy the complete sentences and full conversations that occur here.

Well in some case I like the fact that Menewsha keeps this way people more active, but at the same time I'm the one who usually prefers just lurking so it is often pretty troublesome for me to earn money here in a small amount of time. For example for this month I only gained 100 gold or so. This is so not cool *___*

I'm not a lurker, I love to post, and discuss.. One of the main reasons I joined Mene. ^^
But, when I feel all cr*ppy, I'm usually not going to read long walls of text, I'll just skim threw it, or x off the screen. *laughs* Thats only once in awhile. |

Either way, I remember back in the day I wouldn't be caught dead posting in forums. I was too shy! Still am really, but I've let the shyness slip. Besides, if I were still ultra shy I wouldn't have any gold anywhere whatsoever! :o Hehe. Regardless I only participate in threads if I have something to say, otherwise I just don't. But still there's only so much you can type. I was going to start talking about how I babble- which I'm aware I'm doing so now-- but I can't blame forums for that. I've always been a natural babbler. :D |
I prefer to be as avid a vendor like I have been on Gaia than forum whore, no matter how much I do like forums. I'm so unused to spending time in Forums on an RPG site like this, because with Gaia, I'm better at making my money by buying and selling. It's not a bad change though, I mean, vending isn't everything, and I'm surprised I like it as much as I do. I've never pictured myself as the kind of be so involved with money :o. I'm liking this place a bit more each time I post, and now when I stop by Roliana, for some reason or another, it just seems so boring. I still like it there, I love the avatars. In fact when I first saw these here, I thought, 'o-m-g, could those heads be any weirder?'. But it's grown on me because of the hairs, in part. And, like with Roli, I don't feel the need to lurk, and if I want to make money I know that I cannot. I made quite a bit of gold yesterday for my firs day, might have been more if I'd started when I woke up.
And, unlike with Roliana, I've actually made a friend here on the first day, and spoke with several nice people too. I feel really good about that. For once, I don't feel weird invading someone's Quest thread just to wish them luck, and turning it into meaningful blabber. :) I never thought I'd genuinely be able to keep up with anyone in the forums, but I am. I encourage those of you like me who, tend to prefer the lurking, to give participation a chance. This community is small enough to make friends NOW. And once it grows even larger, you'll be glad you took the time to meet people, because you'll still be friends with them hopefully, and not have to worry about finding decent people to be around. Gaia is a total waste of my time these days. All I'm doing now is waiting to sell my rare and event items, most of which won't really skyrocket 'til the end of this year. My mule and main account both, that's all we're doing - vending. Thank goodness I joined here when I did. |
I pretty much agree with all of you. Well the couple first posters since I did read page 2 and 3 responds. I think the whole point of Mene is to make friends, thus being active, thus gaining gold. So yes I love the system. :3

The thing with Menewsha is I'm not... so much much 'afraid' isn't the term... but close enough for now... of meeting stupidity when posting. Everyone tries their best not to be as dull as office carpeting or perposfully daft to be annoying, so it's actually a PLEASURE to post here and see what everyone posts back.
It's honestly quite relieving. |

i tend to lurk a lot as well. i am not the chattiest of people on most sites i'm on but i just found a good role play run by a friend so hopefully i will son be able to by some clothes so i don't have to run around naked. XD

The main reason I keep coming back to Menewsha is because its so community oriented. Gaia lost that a long time ago but at least there IS a site I can go to that is just as great as what I liked. I see great things for this site and I am happy to be in a position where I get to see it.
