I was really active before that time and loved the community, but I feel it's gotten back to being nice again. (Maybe not the same, but at least pleasant) For awhile everyone was rather defensive.

Dare got banned, and Mike... I don't remember what actually happened to him, but he's not around anymore needless to say.

Gush got banned too xD

I remember vaguely enough about it to recall it as being warranted, but I can't pull everything to mind. Anyway, there were reasons behind all of them. *Was on the staff during all three of the last ones* I just can't talk about the parts I do remember. *Non disclosure agreement and privasy issues*. I got here actually just as people were being AMAZINGLY offensive to, and defensive about, the arrival of people from Gaia. I was one of the people from Gaia too, so I was understandably a bit ruffled. CK got here then too, and she was great. She stepped right up and said that you couldn't just label all of us as jerks just because we'd been on a massive website with people that were. We're still here, and loving it. <3
I do remember them asking people not to put the shirt icon in their sigs though, because it really was a way of letting the hacker know they'd gotten under peoples skin and had an effect, which with people like that really only encourages them. *shrug*
I actually didn't get the hack though, but I did get some in the wake of it. <3 that was nice, i used it to buy my tophat, which was the first item I quested for on Mene. <3

LOL I had almost forgotten about Gush. He got banned twice, first for breaking all the rules like a million times and then he came BACK, did it again, and posted all these threads whining about it. Then he went to TornFaun and tried to tell them all he was in this band that was currently touring. Hmmmm so much for being some 16 year old highschooler. He was actually pretty hilarious in a pathetic kind of way. :rofl:

Anyway I don't remember much on the list because I didn't join until October and I wasn't that active... I remember the gold we got for not exploiting fishing though, my friend and I were like "OMG WE'RE RICH!!111". :XD

I wasn't targeting Gush, he just came up in conversation. I said all I have to say about him.

I joined during the first Easter event and I remember most of this stuff. It seems like alot of the members around back then have left or gotten banned though... Whatever happened to that girl Miss Charlaine? or something, I remeber she was pretty popular when I joined.

Haha I remember when jelly got promoted to "trial mod" and when Mike left and when Josh was around all the time. I bought a scepter of Order when they first came out, and when everyone had a pink and white outfit to match, or else the Starry set. The 999 glitch was funny, but I wasn't affected by it at all. I also remember threads saying stuff like "OMG Mene has almost 7000 members!" and then a week or so later there was "8000 member milestone!" We all got a Yumeh hairpin for 10K members and everyone had one so they sold for almost nothing. I remember everyone but me was profitting from fishing and I was really jealous. XD

I guess I'm an "oldbie" then, even though I'm dirt poor. :lol: Wow, I miss old Mene.

I rememebr of few of those things... I started back in October 07, just before the fishing glitches started... which was how I got my first complet outfit on here *feels kinda ashamed of her newbie luck* Though that also meant I was here for the first halloween as well, which was a lot of fun.

I do rememebr galy was very cool, though I never understood why she got banned.. and I know it's better not to ask. I remember all the hate that was going around because of it... it was scary... it made me want to stay away form those parts of the forums.

Aries acutions and the half price store thread... they helped a lot when I was running my charity. The charity ran form november untill febuary... when i had more beggars than donations and i started feeling guilty when i wanted to buy stuff for my avi ... >< never a goos thing

I remember the birthday even, I run one of the user threads there. And the winner of my pixel art contest actauly became a pixleist here on the site... so that made me feel really cool.

I remember before we had the new system, when things looked nicer and worked better... and every time some one complained the staff would say "it's in the update"... i still hate the new look of the site... all the extra white hurts my eyes so I don't stay on here much.

I rember TrinityDoll's Waiting for christmas thread, that place was a lot of fun. I also remember that we all lost touch after the event was over.. it was sad... I remember the pictures she did for every one for new years... I still have mine in my photo bucket account.

I remember when steve made his first movies... he's very talented... i havn't checked to see if he's done another in a while... I made it into his mini movie. ^_^ that was a lot of fun...

Out of all those times that the gold hacking occurred, I never once was online when it happened. Guess I got lucky, haha.

I found it ironically funny! Because I was very active around the time it did happen. But just those days, I seemed to have had other plans. Then I come back the next day and people are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. "HOMG! Did you see what happened?!!" "HOMGHOMG!" I'm just totally like, "Uh--huh...what?" o-O

I remember all of those things aside from the Scepter being called law. XD And I donated to get my scepters too, but I wasn't paying attention to the title.

I talked to Vanilla back in the days of c h a t s p a c e, but indeed she did have a bit of an attitude that got her in trouble and caused her to leave. ^^; I didn't have a problem with her, but I can see why she left.

I remember seeing the crowns for sale, but for some reason I didn't join until a few weeks later. I thought I'd never get a crown since they already inflated. XD; My first goal item was the welcome shirt and I was so surprised I actually got it!

I remember the fishing incident intimately since it happened right after I became a mod. ^^; Although I didn't participate in the Summer Carnival, I did pop online to get the pins. I think I might have been in Japan at the time, since I know c h a t s p a c e had a lot of drama and kicked the bucket while I was gone.
