I can never seem to get myself to actually post in forums. I just read, and lurk, and et cetera. I don't see how I can be shy even over the internet. It seems I just don't know how to reply to forums or actually get into conversations. :(

I'm told posting is a good way to get more gold, and I don't always have a problem with that. My problem right now is that I don't have a role play I can post in a lot like I usually do

I really hope I'm not the only one who does this If I am, then I'm really hoping some nice person can help me with this. >_<

I agree.I don`t RP much or anything,but yeah.Its hard to get me to post on anything.Wether conversation or not.Just b yourself.

I agree. Getting myself to actually post something is kinda stressful! You always are wondering who would actually read your comment, and who would take offense to it. And because 'one' of the main reasons you want to post is because it is a great way and legal way to make money, it hard... it also takes time... lots of time... because you don't want it to be spam.

I got a reply earlier. I wish this person read her comment before posting, because it was a bit rude.

I have that problem a lot, too. ): It really only happens to me in the GD or Menewsha Nation... especially the Menewsha Nation, if I want to go into a thread. I'll type up a little pointless introduction and ask if they mind if I hang out there for a little while, but I never send it. I'm too shy. I feel like an intruder sometimes. :|

There are a lot of times I've hesitated before replying - or not replied at all - because I'm on Staff.

As Staff, sometimes people take things too seriously - whether they think I'm posting "inside information" and expect my ideas/feelings to be a rule or an upcoming feature/whatever... or whether they take my sense of humor and think I'm being rude to them... It's sometimes easier not to post and accidentally upset someone. :X

Nyeh, I wish I at least had a good excuse like trying not to be rude. I think I just don't have much to say. >_< Which is weird, because I really can go on for hours...

Menewsha is largely friendly... Even our "unfriendly" people are only cranky sometimes. ;3

There are any number of Charity and Menewsha Nations threads who love people to just drop in and make new friends with them. ;) And there are other threads that are just as welcoming - I'm just naming the places where you might feel more comfortable not having "something" to say. XD;

Don't worry about it. :heart: I think a lot of people have that problem; you can probably get a bit of commiseration. Start a thread about it somewhere! XD

Either I have nothing to say or I'm worried about offending the person. When I did actually full-out voice my opinion, someone went off on me. XD For an understandable reason, but all the same--turns you off of doing it again. Don't want to offend people, but I don't want to suck up and bullshit. (I did that in high school; never doing it again.) Sooo yeah. Trying to sit on a politically correct line. And then I decide not to post because it sounds stupid; I'm currently prodding myself into posting THIS message. XD

If being rude is what you are afraid of.. then just try to not be rude.. thats all. I understand it can be hard because sometimes you are not even being rude but the other people might take it that way... or just be too sentimental.

just make sure you are doing your best to be true to yourself and respectful at the same time. Trust me, it works...once you get used to it. ^^

Always read your reply before you send it. Then just send it if you think it's sendable. Don't be shy, we don't bite.

Fabby doesn't really have that problem.
The closest she gets is sometimes she will not send replies because she deems them to be unnecessarily rude, pointless, and a flame war waiting to happen. She does that a lot. >__>

I think there's always going to be a risk someone will disagree with you, and sometimes people are just looking for a fight, but although it's an easier said than done scenario, I'm a believer in taking the reigns and deciding you have just as much right to participate as the person looking for a fight. More so in some regards.
Also I've noticed as far as posts that come across as only vaguely rude: A lot of people don't really realize quite how they sound, even when they do a re-read. I'm doing a presentation on it for work.

I can't find threads to post in either. I've posted in most which I can find something to actually post about but now I'm not even sure where to post. Since I don't RP either its harder and I really do rely on my hangout thread and the games as my main source of conversation in forums to gain gold. I also asked my sister to join to keep me company sometimes on the hangout thread when no one is on and I want to post but she's on only when I bug her to it or not at all (like yesterday she didn't really go on..I don't think at all >_<').

I feel most comfortable making topics in media game section because I'm a gamer and know I can find something to say there...but that thread can be dead sometimes. But I don't really mind making topics there. ^_^'

I find it really hard to post stuff, too. I do some roleplaying, though. Other than that, I usually think whatever I've written is stupid, and I decide not to post it. I'm always pretty poor on sites where you have to post to gain gold. Lurking, though, is a lot of fun. I like reading about peoples' opinions and experiences.

I'm surprised though. I'm trying to personally come out of my lurking habits, because really it's a lot more fun to be involved. Isn't it kinda boring to just sit on the sidelines? I mean even with the games....
The reason I'm here instead of in front of my play station is because I like the chance to occasionally talk to people.

I have problems posting as well. ^_^;; It might be because I think I'm coming off as rude, or I find my post pointless to the conversation, though it's probably because I feel intimidated. ^_^;;
Though that's just me. xD Ack, it usually takes me forever to post on forums (Take Gaia for instance, it took me about 3 months to finally gain the courage to post on there. ^_^;; ), though I'm starting to get better about it. ^_^

Thanks for all the advice! I shall try to follow it, the people of Menewsha certainly are nicer than Gaians. I guess if I feel like being an arse on the internet(you know you all get that way sometimes) I can go to Gaia. Meanwhile, I'll get acquainted with you nice Menewsha people.
