This was inspired by a comment I saw in another thread.

My question is, have you ever met someone IRL through Mene? (meaning, you met them on Mene first, then IRL, so family members on Mene don't count! xD)

Maybe you met CK at Momocon. Or maybe it was something else entirely!

I've only met one Menewshan so far (who actually was not Menewshan by the time I met him, but I met him here first). He was living near where my hubby's father's family is currently. I connected with him on another site and discovered we already knew each other from a Mene event. After talking for a while, I also found out that I went to high school with one of his cousins! (Small world!) So we met up in person one day when I was in town seeing hubby's family. We ate barbecue and talked about that user's upcoming move to another state. I haven't seen him since though, and that visit was over a year and a half ago.

Unfortunately I don't remember every username of the people I met via Momocon. Several signed up and either aren't active in the parts of Menewsha I am, so I don't see them or have become busy and aren't on as often anymore.

But Omi and I will be meeting again in June for another convention in Huntsville, Alabama. (It won't be an official Menewsha thing, but if you guys find us and mention Menewsha, I'll make sure to send a little something your way. That, by the way, will go for me for every convention I go to as long as Menewsha exists. ;) )

I haven't yet but there's a few users that I wouldn't mind meeting.

I haven't. So far I only know that two people on Mene live on the same island as I do, the rest are all pretty far away, so I don't know the chances of my ever meeting a Menewshan somewhere in the real world. :sweat:

I know Linnea: and Parasitic Panda: irl <3 We are friends from college. I love those buggers. We met Facade though! So I guess he's the only person I've met THROUGH Mene first then irl. <3

Before I moved, the closest one I think lived to was Cherry Who?: and the only other one I can think of right now is Sizzla:. And now I have no idea who I'm near. I haven't heard of anyone who lives in Central Cali yet, but I know Melody used to live like 4 hours away from where I am now.

I haven't met Vickyll3: yet. XD! But seriously though, I don't think I know anyone here in real life. :P If I did that would be awesome in some kind of way. ^_^;

I haven't met anyone from Mene yet. I would love to. Wouldn't it be awesome to hold a big shindig and all of the members get together? xD

I'm closest to San Francisco, but under the right circumstances I'd totally fly to NY. London would depend on a zillion factors for me.

I figured since she handles mail donations that they may have met before (or at least talked on the phone xD)

I shared a hotel room with Juru in Florida :yes: And met some other people then who are no longer Mene people now :O Namely Lee (owner), Ken (coder) and Paxjah (pixelist). Juru thrust her phone into my hand and had me chat with Chi:, does that count? :ninja:
