Oh, well that's really awesome =]. Not cool that your family canceled though, it shouldn't matter how you celebrate it, just that you are celebrating it.

Well, you know people can be people at times. It wasn't traditional so they had no interest in it. My mom and sister came though. Which was nice. They're the only ones. My mom helped me make my wedding dress.

I had them and two friends come that was it. The rest of the guest list was his family and friends. Out of forty odd guests four of them were mine. It was crazy.

I still truly enjoyed my wedding and think it was spiffy. In the end that's all that really matters.

Aw, I hate that a lot of your family didn't want to come just because you had your wedding outside. That's actually kind of weird. o__O Oh well. At least it was just the way you wanted it and the folks came to their senses, albeit after the fact, but I guess you get what you can take. ^^

Also, you made your wedding dress? I'd love to see pictures if you have some. :D

@June: It's not weird at all if you knew my dad's side of the family. >.> They're all about how things look. Apparently a backyard wedding is trashy. They're traditional Cuban and you're supposed to be married in church with the whole nine yards, etc. Outdoor weddings are for the poor and we are better than that. XD It was a bit stressful at the time.

@Dragoness: That's why I ended up making my dress. We had to do our wedding on a budget and I worked at a fabric store at the time so I got a nice discount. Plus I couldn't find a dress that was suitable for an outdoor wedding. They all had long trains which obviously wouldn't work.

@Roachi: It was. I was very happy with how it all turned out.

The last wedding i went too was my sisters, she got married 3 years ago. Her husbands family own a marine reserve here in NZ for the yellow eyed penguins and they've built like a huge restaurant on it - which overlooks the sea. It was really beautiful. My sister was like you, i was the only Blood relative that went. But she had loads of friends and stuff so yeah.

Sure Roachi, I'll send them your way as well.

Everyone is now going to get to see just how dorky I look. XD

Yeah it was, i should try and dig some pics out. I dunno if i have any on this comp. I'll hafta get her to send me them again. But when she does i'll show ya.
The funny thing is though, her husband was soo anal lol. She got like a lil bit of dirt on her dress becoz we went for a ride in these lil cart things that take you around the reserve, and we went out to the edge of the cliff to take pics and well obviously she got dirty. He skitzed at her lol, i was like whoa dude it's not even your dress xDD.


@June - It's a phoenix staff ^^, i thought it would look better then the lunar one.

I think that's the phoenix staff or something like that.

On the book that you sign like your thoughts and stuff to the bride and groom it said Ronnie & Martin (my sisters nickname is Ronnie coz she hates her real name Veronica). Anyway he says out loud "OMG it's like this is a civil union". xD
