Get 'em at a pet/fish store instead. xD They sell them (brine shrimp) as fish food. The adults are usually around $.25-.50 apiece, and they're pretty fertile little critters.

Thanks so much, Rose! I was just thinking about reviving my quest thread.
Don't like seafood? :gonk: You're nuts! But that's okay. Maybe I just like it because I'm so... not picky when it comes to food. XD

I'm a vegetarian. Haven't had seafood in six-ish years. I used to be really big on shrimp, but fish... notsomuch.

It's not hard at all after the first 1-2 years, once you know how to buy food/cook for yourself. ^^
Sometimes I consider cheating with foods like shrimp... I have a hard time feeling any pity for a sea bug, LOL. But I don't ever really do it, I don't really have much of an appetite for something I haven't eaten in so long.

I really only try to avoid pork and beef- and I even slip up on those, though I'm working at it. >>; I do love tofu though, so that's helpful to me not eating as much meat.

Have you tried wheat gluten? It's another meat substitute, like tofu. I prefer tofu, but wheat gluten is a lot firmer, so in certain recipes it makes a better substitute.

@ sad - My family used to live near Seattle, Washington, and we had the best salmon anywhere when I was growing up. You could buy it within an hour or two of it being caught!
@ Iltu - It's really easy to find at Chinese/Taiwanese/Japanese markets. It's also known as "seitan." Our local Japanese market sells it in cans marked "Mock pork" and "Mock chicken."

Iltu, yes sometimes it can definitely be a lonely business. The quest forum seems to have gotten quiet for a little bit, which means taht it's in for a revival soon. People will come back... let's hope so anyways.

Pretty much. Don't know if you notice, but I definitely bounce around from thread to thread and pull stuff up from the bottom pages as much as possible. Save the forgotten threads.

Bouncing from thread to thread is the fastest way to get gold from posting. I made almost 200 gold yesterday in posting alone. Then again, I do gab alot. My favorite part about bouncing around...? None of the conversations are the same in each thread. All kinds of different things being discussed with different people generally. Love that!

I try to bounce around, but I'm so forgetful that I always tend to just end up in the threads I regular in! *sigh* It takes me so long to get used to frequent chatting in any thread, I need to learn to assimilate much more quickly.

It's a fine skill to hone, just takes time to get develop your rhythm. Trust me, it's taken time for me to be able to post rapidly and still be interesting while doing so. Genius like mine doesn't come around everyday...bask in my glorious glow of...whatever makes me special.
