Didn't have to wear glasses until I was 24. Been going blind ever since, I am more blind then my husband and he has been wearing glasses since he was a sophomore in high school. It's ridiculous.
I got glasses going into 2nd grade. I've always needed them. I'm almost as blind as my very vision challenged father at this point.
Slowly making my way to where my mother is...blind as a bat without her glasses on.
All right.. time for me to climb into bed. Damn work. |
I'll probably be legally blind by the time I'm my dad's age.
night, do sleep well. |
Hi guys!
Ah, but you see...if you are really near-sighted like I am, then the older you get, the BETTER your eye sight gets. Age makes people get more far-sighted. I figure that pretty soon now I won't need glasses at all! |
that's unfair! and my mom got near sighted as she got older. she didn't used to need bifocals.
I am near sighted now and it's so not getting better. *sighs* And now that I am another year older, it's all down hill from here.
getting older is no fun at all! D:
Using bifocals generally means that you need changes to your "really" near vision.
I am near-sighted, so I need lens adjustment to see far. Yet, I can see really close just fine, so for my bifocal hey take AWAY from the lens. My bifocal lens correction is less than my far vision correction. It's strange...but that 's the way it works. |
if you say so...
lol...long-winded answer, I know.
Each year my far vision gets better, and my bifocals approach normal visison. Hard to describe. But I need to go get my eyes checked again. |
I need to check my eyes again even though I got new glasses over the summer. I already can't see anymore.
I even got a letter from my insurance company telling me to go get my eyes checked.
Strange. But I guess as a diabetic, it's important for yearly checks. |
it is? I didn't know that.
Lots of diabetics go blind...
weird. that would suck.
I wish I knew what type of eye doctor to go to...
there are different kinds?
There are the regular optometrists, who figure out what glasses you need.
Then there are opthamologists, who are MD's...more schooling, and they know more of the medical stuff about eyes. |
I dunno. I've always gone to the same eye place.
I like your new outfit!
thanks. though I'm sure I wasn't finished with it when you posted. I had to stop in the middle of changing when I went to get a hair cut.
