I miss my usual haunts back home some.
|
What were the usual places for you?
|
quite a few. some italian, mexican, indian, seafood....just about everything.
|
All of them in Houston, I suppose.
Did you ever eat at the aquarium in Houston? |
of course.
many times. at company dinners for my dad. |
I've only been there once.
It's a really cool place! The food was good too. I had crab cakes. |
I think it's pretty lame, but that's just me. I've been there a lot and seen way better places.
that does sound good though. |
I love crab cakes.
I don't know why....but they just seem so rich and good to me! |
I love crab and most all seafood.
|
I've been trying to upload a pic of our granite...
http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...35844419_n.jpg Did that work? It's a pic of our granite slab with one of the cabinet doors in front of it. |
that's really pretty!!
|
How do I code it so that the picture shows up in the post?
I thought that putting the img around it would work... |
same thing you have except no spaces between the bbc code and the link
|
I'll got back and fix the post and see if that works then...
|
yep, it's right now!
|
Yay, it worked!
There was a bracket-URL-bracket code in there that I had to take out... Well, I'm heading off to bed now. See you tomorrow! |
night jean. sleep well.
|
Hey, good afternoon everybody!
(Or Kat, since you seem to be the only person who posts in here...) |
i post in here sometimes ;P
|
lol...after I posted that, I thought...
Hmmm...maybe Linn too! Did you see my granite? |
i am subscribed to this thread :) so i see your posts! i did see the granite! it looks lovely  i love that there is a little white in it to match the cupboards
|
It's not actually white...it's more of a cream color.
The same with the cabinet door. It just looks white cuz it's in direct sunlight. When we went to look at the slabs, the first ones they brought out of this type didn't have that bit of cream in them. It didn't have the grey "river" either. We said that's not what we wanted. Then they found this slab and a matching one (we need 2.5 slabs), so we were ecstatic! One of the slabs has a crack through it, so they have to work around that. I just hope they don't drop it as they're getting ready to cut it. Then we start over again... |
oh my. a crack is a bit of a problem isn't it?
|
maybe you could use the other side? although i don't know much at all about granite slabs  maybe some clear grout kinda stuff in it to seal the crack?
|
there are products that seal cracks certainly.
