Well, they'll cut the counters around the crack.
They wouldn't give us a counter tip with an actual crack in it.

I'm so excited for it to be installed! But it won't be for another 2 weeks.

Our faucet finally came in though...
We also had our oven and microwave delivered today.

even new oven and microwave? you're redoing everything aren't you?

Oh yes. The entire kitchen!
The only thing we didn't rip out was the old cabinets.
In retrospect, we could have been done by now if we had bought new cabinets too.

But it would have cost a LOT more $$...

We're replacing everything except our fridge and dishwasher.
The dishwasher was new a few years ago, so it's stainless steel and matches the other stuff well enough.

The fridge is awfully expensive, and our old one still works fine, so we thought we'd wait another year or two to replace it with a stainless steel one.
The one we have now is white. It'll look fine with the new cabinets.

We took the day off from painting...

We're trying to decide between a couple of different vent hoods.

It's either spend $2100 for one that has an obnoxious logo on it that can't be removed, or spend $2400 for one that has an awesome logo that you can either put on it or keep it off...and it's the same brand as our awesome range top!

So basically, do we want to spend $300 for a name?

I think it took over a year for my dad to stop being lazy and actually install our vent hood. it was sitting on the floor in it's box for the longest time.

The problem with installing a vent hood...he's got to punch a hole through our outside brick wall.

That's a scary proposition!

We're still waiting before we can buy our vent hood..

The other company hasn't refunded us the money yet, and we don't dare buy another one without that money back on our credit card...(just in case they decide they aren't going to take the bad vent hood back).

I'm so sick of painting.
Today I did a TERRIBLE job on one of the doors. It's all lumpy, and I won't be able to fix it.

I told hubby that when he hangs the door, to put it where it will get kicked...
Then there'll be an excuse for it looking so bad.

The first one we ordered, they didn't sent the baffles that they said go with them.
So the store contacted them, and they said "Oops...we'll send the new vent".
Then they sent us the exact same thing.

Now they say, well, we think we can get the baffles from the factory...

But we don't believe they'll fit, so we told the store that we gave them a chance to correct their mistake, and they blew it, so we want our money back.

Turns out it's a good thing for us that they did blow it, cuz we're thinking we want to get a different type of vent hood now...

lol. cosmic disaster lead to better choice in life? good headline.
