Transformers have been around for over 20 years...

They were a toy that transformed from something like a truck to something else like a plane.

Then they made a cartoon out of it...

there was a cartoon made in the 70's and then one in the 90's.

The toys were there first though I think...

I don't know since I'm not old, but it makes more sense for toys to come after a cartoon rather than to make a cartoon based on toys.
