I thought so, but I wouldn't swear to it...

It doesn't matter though. He's gone now. RIP.

I'm good!

I just got back from a Costco spending spree.

Well...maybe not a "spree", but I did get a few cute tops.

I get my jeans at WalMart...

Shirts I get in different places. Mostly WalMart, but I found some cute ones at Costco too. Kohl's is a good place too.

I went to Target on Saturday, but I was disappointed.
They've gone up in price quite a bit. I thought their clothes were pretty expensive.

It seemed quite a bit more expensive than WalMart to me.

I don't know if it was just that Target store...

I think our Target is trying to appear "upscale" now.

I didn't buy any clothes there...

that's weird. Target will ever be upscale no matter how hard it tries.

I'm trying very hard to keep my short story from going over 15 pages one and half spacing.

well, the teacher didn't give us a page limit for the revisions. Originally the stories were to be between 8-10 pages double spaced. I just don't want to annoy people with my long story. A lot of people wrote over the page limit first time round too though. *sigh* my story is really long though. its almost 6k words. is it even still a short story?

I don't know what the requirement is for something to be termed a short story...

I googled and I'm seeing max limits for short stories placed at either 7.5k or 20k.

I think this seems about right.
Quote:
robotbiz, most magazines--the only places that buy single short stories--define it by word count. A short story can range anywhere from 1500 words or so up to 7,500 or even 10,000, depending on the magazine.

There aren't hard-and-fast rules--each magazine's Submission Guidelines are the rules for that publication--but here's enough to give you the general idea:

Micro fiction--under one hundred words.
Flash Fiction--100 to 1,000 words.
Short short--1,000 to 2,000 words.
Short story-- 2,000 to 7,500 words.
Novelette--7,500 to 15,000 words. (Up to 17,500 words at some publications.)

lol...I just remember on Flipping out. The housekeeper was always talking about her novellas...

I guess I've heard of a short short...

I'm sure there are even more terms in the publishing world that I wouldn't know about though...
