My Mom never had allergies, and I look a LOT like her.

Even though looks are genetic, I suspect that allergies are different genes...

At any rate, we have 50% of our Mom's genes, and 50% of our Dad's genes.
It's pure chance about WHICH 50%...

Hubby just did some calculations, and decided we can't do the backsplash plan the way we laid it out on the floor...

There will be some areas where the grout lines will be way too big.

So it's back to the old drawing board!

the professionals have a lot of experience, so they can probably do things right the first time.

I think also they just cut tiles and put them in...

We're trying to do this box outline without cutting any of the glass tiles.
They don't cut so well...

We're going to try out some teriyake chicken wings from the local grocery store tonight.

We have a tile saw, and it cuts the glass, but they tend to crack and splinter quite a bit...

Also, they have a textured backing on them that comes off a bit when you cut them, so it looks strange then.

yeah. its usually that way. use the tile saw for tile.
