speaking of food...I ate a small lunch. just a been burrito, but it was tasty because it didn't come from the cafeteria.

I've never been into bean stuff.

I don't care for refried beans.
About the only beans I eat are the french green beans, and doctored Campbells Pork and Beans.

because I don't like meat, I like bean burritos.

green beans don't count. that's a veggie now a bean. I like black bean soup.

Actually, black beans aren't too bad.

Hubby puts them in his chili, and I like those fine.
Better than kidney beans in the chili.

aren't kidney beans what you normally put in chili? that's good!

Actually, "real" Texas chili has NO beans.

But hubby has always made it with beans. He used to use kidney beans.
I'd eat it, but I really didn't care for the beans.

Then my sister suggested the black beans. THOSE I actually like, so that's all he uses in the chili now.

really? new mex chili has beans.

I love all beans!

Do you make lentil soup?

He likes to do that every now and then.

But, he's been making NOTHING for the last 6 months.

haha. yelling at it won't get anything done.

We've spent the last week "designing" the backsplash wall over the range top.
Today he drew all over the wall, and tomorrow we are FINALLY going to start putting the tiles on the wall.

Of course, the design won't survive the first few cemented on tiles.

I expect a LOT of cussing tomorrow...

you still haven't put up those tiles?? wow.

this sounds like a personal problem.

He took DAYS building up his spreadsheet, virtually placing the tiles in the exact right places.

THEN we get to paint the walls and ceiling....
I think at that point the plastic over the archway to the livingroom can be taken down...

I actually had thought we'd be done by now...

But now I'm wondering if we're going to be done by the 4th of July...

It really is taking too long.
We started packing stuff around the 1st of December...

So it's been almost 6 months.

damn. stop being so picky and just do things then.

I know.
Hubby is a perfectionist.

But when I would have liked him to be picky (when painting the cabinets), he wasn't so much. So they didn't turn out as well as I would have liked.

you're picky too.

Sometimes I can be.

Other times I just say "screw it" ... it's good enough.

I hate painting, but I'm looking forward to painting the walls and ceiling, cuz that will be a LOT towards finishing.

After that, he just has the electrical to do (lighting), the tile floor (yikes, tile again), and then lastly the plumbing.

Then we unpack everything...

I speculate you will finish at the end of the year.

lol....no, I'm shooting for July.
Maybe end of July at the latest...
