Lost in Space was a shlocky old scifi TV show. Not well done, but most of them weren't well done in those days.

Let's see... when I was 18 (if I can remember that far back).
I had just started my first year of college. I felt free, independent, and the whole world was open to me.

Well, actually, I think when I turned 18 I was sick and in college and wanted my Mommy... That was my first major illness away from home.

Awws, did the illness go away after a short period of time though? :<

And, your first paragraph explains how I first felt when I turned 18 last year. xDD;; Even though I wasn't in the best of moods at the time. ^^;;

It was just the flu... nothing life-threatening.
The worse illness was after my freshman year. I had gotten mono from my boyfriend, and I was in the hospital for 10 days with high fever, jaundice. I think I slept for at least 8 of those days... I don't remember it too well...

Then to top it off, over the summer he stopped writing. Jerk.

I've gotten so many hugs this morning for starting some laundry and putting some leftovers into a tupperware container for him it's starting to make me feel guilty though. I must not do enough chores to get so much attention for a few chores
