but it kinda does. if similar items or items from the same time period are going up, people will realize that people are willing to play more. thus everything goes up in price.

Not necessarily...
The item in question was one of the auctioneer's rares, so it wouldn't push up the price of other regular items...

(I knew that Econ 101 class was going to come in handy some day).

Man, I'm hungry!

lol....did you absorb his knowledge?

I can say with full confidence that I have probably managed to retain maybe 1% of everything I learned in college.

Sadly, there were some social things that I didn't learn.
I never learned to like beer... even though my roommate tried very hard.

Other social skills I learned in kindergarten.

I haven't learned to like beer or parties either. I do like wine and flavored rums though.

lol! XD

Flavored rums were always my downfall...

Then I found out about Kahluha.

Sometimes I wish I could drink, just so I could try out all those flavored stuff, like Bailey's and Kahlua, and ... those.. wine cooler things.. Ann Arbor? ::scratches head and tries to think::

I know virtually nothing about alcohol other than it reeks, and makes people do things they normally wouldn't.

The upside to not being able to drink, though: I'm the one who'll remember the entire night, the next morning.
Ohhhh, the blackmail I've done!

not all alcohol reeks. it really depends on the drink I think. beer and frat parties stink, but yeah. I consider myself a taste tester rather than a drinker.

Oh no.
What I refer to as "reek" might not actually seem that unpleasant to you.
But to my nose, the only scent present is alcohol. Other people will sniff it and say "It smells like hops" or "Smells like they put oranges" - All I smell is fermentation; the alcohol.
Same goes for perfumes. I can't spray something on and immediately smell whatever floral/citrus/sandalwood was used: all I smell is the alcohol content.

So, to me, it reeks.

Some people definitely have a more sensitive nose than others.

@Connie- your nose sounds like mine. I can pick out very distinct smells that others can't but at the same time I can't smell the things most people like.

We're in our RV at the racetrack right now.

They fixed the leaks in the roof, but now the inside of the Rv smells all mildewy.
I don't know HOW we can get rid of that.

It's between the ceiling and the roof...so we can't get at it.

Thanks, Kat.

I know...mildew just does NOT go away on its own.

No...the roof leaked into the ceiling, and the water flowed around the ceiling and came out by the light fixture.

So the entire space between the room ceiling and the roof of the RV got wet and has mildewed...

We can't get to it without ripping out the entire padded room ceiling.
