as a whole america is. but there a plenty of healthy americans and its not like food isn't a huge part of other countries too. :/
|
got a point, I entirely blame the American's who are that way, but the food industry doesn't help.

Well, hubby is grilling swordfish today.
Nummy! |
where the heck do you get a swordfish?
|
At the fish store.
They're deep ocean fish. Very tasty when grilled. |
I know where swordfish live.
there's a fish store? |
There are some stores that specialize in fish.
We actually got the swordfish at Central Market. Did you know that the guy who is behind the fish counter is called a fish monger? I learned that from Alton Brown. |
I've never seen one.
hm. I learned that from shakespeare. |
I thought Shakespeare talked about war mongers.
I didn't know he talked about fish mongers. |
it was an insult used in I think Romeo and Juliet.
|
lol...I wouldn't be surprised.
Mostly, when we did Shakespeare, I needed somebody to interpret for me. |
well, I figured this out through a video online talking about shakespeare insults. I dont' understand him too well either.
|
I remember reading Julius Caesar in high school.
Man...it was HARD reading. Then the teacher would explain it as we went along. I remember thinking..."well, if THAT's what he meant, then why didn't he just SAY that?" |
I think Julius Caesar was my favorite.
you have to remember that: A) Shakespeare was very creative with words B) it made more sense in his time. I never though he should say what I think he should have. |
Actually I love Shakespeare, but I didn't care for Julius Cesar
|
He was so flowery with his words.
Words with a flourish. I'm trying to remember when he was around. Was he around when Henry 8th was King? |
I haven't got a clue. go google it.
|
(whines)
I'm too lazzzyyyyy..... |
I don't know either I'm afraid.
|
If I'm not looking it up, then I guess I don't really care if I know or not.
lol... I was just thinking that in the Tudors, I thought there was a reference to Shakespeare writing a play...but I could have mis-heard it. ---------- Post added 06-25-2012 at 04:38 PM ---------- OK...I looked it up. Shakespeare lived from 1564 - 1616. Henry the 8th from 1491 - 1547. So he died before Shakespeare was born. But Henry's daughter, Elizabeth died in 1603, and she was queen until she died, so she overlapped Shakespeare somewhat. |
I had a feeling it was Elizabethan, but I wasn't 100% sure.
|
