I didn't think I knew that much. But the hydra was a beast Hercules fought. I also think it's mentioned in the Kingdom Hearts game in Hercules' world... >.>

I know that there were some dragons in the old stories...

I think I also call them fantasy because of the Science Fiction Fantasy books about them...like the DragonWorld series and stuff...

they aren't any more fantasy than chinese dragons though. I wouldn't be able to differentiate them because of that.

Anne McCaffery wrote a series of SF books about a world where they used dragons when their tech stuff died.

yeah, the Pern books? Isn't the series called Pern. I never could get into it.

I always liked them. Part scifi, part fantasy.

the book I tried to read was unbelievably boring.

wow. they're older books. my dad read them as a kid.
there are two writers for the original trilogy, but there are some off shoots and newer adventures that are good too, though some of those are aimed a bit more at young adults. you should just google it because I don't know the names.

me too. I like when people are really creative with their worlds and still unique. not at all lame. a lot of fantasy is set in the modern world these days. it's nice, but there's something about a fully new fantasy realm.

It was way down at the bottom of my subscribe list...
I had been responding to threads at the top of the list, and I missed seeing it there!

lol. Yeah...I end up doing things like that. XD Post in the more active ones first so you stay caught up.XD

What you really need to do is post in the oldest ones first...
But I don't always do that.

I do that when I first get on...then I try to keep up with the fast paced ones because if I don't....I lose track of what is going on.
