superman is too good and just...too hero-y for my taste. Sometimes I feel that way about Captain America too, but he's not that bad.

I hate the spiderman movies so much for some reason. I did liked the comics though. it's probably the only comic I really read any of.

I never watched thundercats, but I've heard a lot about it.

I think I only saw one Spiderman movie...

I just loved that he was in love with that red head...at least in the earlier comics.
But she was just too elegant for him or something.

The redhead was to Spiderman what Lana was to Superman: the girl from his pre-heroic past.

Yup. That's true.

So are there any NEW superheroes?
Other than SpongeBobSquarePants?

mary jane? I tend not to like super heroes and their girls. it's so cliche and lame. Spiderman is so lame in the movie. He's too much of a teenager.

since when is sponge-bob a super hero? -.-

Not in the sense of a classic comic-book series.

I had never seen SpongeBob until my grandkids came last February.

I saw my first My Little Pony show in Sept when we went to see them.

My grandkids are educating me!

I need to figure out what all the hoorah is about it.
Why it's such a big thing with older kids nowadays.

If that's the case, then all the hoorah among the older kids (older being around 30 years - I'm 28) is about fond memories. My Little Pony was a cartoon when I was a toddler, and they had the dolls that you could play with their hair, style it, write on the pony, draw on it - the dolls I really wanted were the ones that had cool little designs that showed up and disappeared depending whether you put warm or cold water on it.

but its popular with teens and even people near 60 according to my past roommates. guys never watched it as a kid, but they do now. it's definitely not just memories.

Yeah. ::shrugs::

I'm not sure what all the hooplah is with the rest of the people. But I'm pretty sure with a certain group of women who were kids when MLP first came out, it's a lot to do with fond memories and possibly wanting to introduce THEIR little girls to it.

all bronies and pony fans I know are into it because there's something that appeals to older kids. apparently there's a lot of things that can be taken more seriously or in an adult context.

Maybe it's kinda like why adults like movies like Toy Story and Shrek?
There's stuff in there that goes right over little kids heads that the adults like?

But I didn't really hear/see any innuendos in the episodes of MLP that I watched with the grandkids.
